Nice place for breakfast or lunch.nnIt came highly recommended from folks at the train station. Easy walk from there to the restaurant.nnThere are plenty of choices of pastries and coffee.nnThe breakfast selections were wonderful and satisfying.
We had dinner and breakfast at Seven penny I must say that food was excellent in both cases. We had fish of the day for the dinner and it was cooked to perfection and all the side dishes were also excellent. Dinner was so good that we went for breakfast the next day, we had a vegetarian option of a smashed avocado with poached eggs. This dish was also prepared to perfection and we really enjoyed.nnRestaurant is not very big therefore when there are too many customers it was noisy at dinner time so it was quite hard to hear each other, however breakfast time there was less noise and it was quite nice. We had different staff for both meals, in both cases staff was very polite and accommodative.nnWe will certainly go back again when sweet visit the west coast again.
All staff was attentive and friendly! Inside seating was inviting, but we chose to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful day and light breeze. Our sandwiches, chicken panini, and Reuben were very tasty. The food critic in me would suggest slicing the corned beef thinner and the grain, but again we both enjoyed our sandwiches and recommend Sevenpenny.
Best burger I have ever had wagyu beefnSeemed a bit expensive for a burger and then tasted it. 100% worth it.nThe rest of the menu had a good range of price options and I felt jealous of all the kai everyone else had.nThe staff are really cool. I'll be back to try everything else
Took about 20 minutes to get all our food. Entrée ordered tri dip, two bar snack meals, butter milk chicken and narchoes. Beef narchoes weren't avaliable so I got the bean narchoes. Narchoes came with guacamole beans chips and cheese.nI was a bit confused as I think both narchoes were on the same part of the menu, beef and bean narchoes saying they came with guacamole and sour cream, I only got guacamole on the bean narchoes no sour cream. I don't think it stayed it was vegetarian narchoes but I could be wrong.nThe same people own Paroa Hotel. If you want narchoes for dinner go to the Paroa Hotel instead as they are alot bigger. These narchoes are very small and served in a 'pudding bowl' size. As seen in photo.nYou definitely get more 'bang for your buck' at the Paroa hotel restaurant.nMy son got a chocolate sunday which was a good size.nDue to the confusion over the sour cream I got offered a scone.
