Excellent coffee in the heart of Dublin. One of the very few places which serve fresh cream as an extra. 5 stars alone for this option. Have called in here a few times when in town. Croissants are good too. Recommended.Food: 4/5
BAAAD SERVICE! AWFUL ATTITUDE!! We walked in to get a couple of coffees to go and a bite to eat. The place was a bit crowded as is usual in this type of coffee shops but we waited in line since there were only two baristas trying to handle all the customers at once. However in the little room next to the bar were two other employees just chilling and doing NOTHING! When asked if they could please take our order, one of the employees a blonde girl simply replied “but they are two baristas doing the orders” without knowing the back story to her attitude, I would simply say that if you have a place crowded with customers GET OUT THERE AND WORK! Help the two baristas already trying to multiply themselves to make all the orders as fast as possible!!
Such a good Chai latte. Great service and atmosphere. However, the only complaint i had was the glass wall view we had from our seats looking up stairs for 2nd floor seating, showed some gross spilt drink on the glass and down the wall, that looked like it never got cleaned. Looked nasty.Food: 4/5
Is a cozy coffee atmosphere, but the staff doesn't know how many people they could fit comfortably.... Is way too occupied and noisy Service: 3/5
I recently visited Caffè Nero on O'Connell Street and, unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. It's evident that the place is in dire need of refurbishment and better management. The sofas were worn out, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. The food and drinks did not meet my expectations either. The pastries were quite dry, making it difficult to finish them, and the coffee had a burnt taste. Considering the price point, I expected a higher quality product. However, I must acknowledge the efforts of the staff, who were friendly and tried their best to accommodate guests in a fast-paced environment. They deserve recognition for their hard work despite the less-than-ideal conditions. Caffè Nero on O'Connell Street is situated in a prime tourist area, and it's essential to present a better image to visitors. With some renovations, improved management, and attention to detail, the café has the potential to become a delightful spot for tourists and locals alike. I'm giving it 2 stars, primarily due to the commendable efforts of the staff. I hope to see improvements made in the future, as the café has potential if the necessary changes are implemented.
I really like this coffee shop! The team are amazing Chris is a nice and polite employee. The ambient there is a excellent songs and the view is great! I like the chai latte and the ham and cheese croissant! Recommend it!Food: 4/5
I love this Caffè Nero for the location: upstairs one can be very cozy and a little bit more relaxed compared to downstairs, as there are some tables with sofas. Busy most of the time, the staff is very available. Nice place to sit and have a chat with somebody.
The coffee was good. But one staff member was particularly rude, openly gossiping and making snarky remarks to another staff member while i was directly facing them. She was definitely criticising me and how i ordered my drinks. It made the experience really unpleasant with her attitude but the coffee was good regardless. Don’t think i’ll be back for the coffee when she’s around though.
Very disappointed with this cafe in such a prominent spot in the middle of O'Connell street in Dublin, an area full of tourists. Went in for a coffee and a bun and, while the coffee was nice, the cafe itself was filthy. The armchairs as you can see from the photos were the dirtiest seats Ive ever seen in a café. There was a socket near our seat which was coming off the wall and there was dirty coffee cups on the only free table in there so I cleared them and brought them back to the counter. Having such a prominent place in such a busy tourist area would make you think it would be up to standard but, unfortunately it was really bad. The furniture need either a good deep clean or dumping. Hopefully theyll clean the place up before the busy summer season.
Really poor service. Management were non existent. Left the poor trainee barrista on her own with a large amount of customers waiting 20+ mins to get a takeaway coffee. Manager and other senior staff just watching her whilst customers waiting not knowing what was going on. Really unprofessional and low and behold, coffee was burnt. Can't blame the trainee though when there's nobody overseeing her work or even offering to help her. Hope she finds a better job with better Co workers
