Hate to leave reviews, especially bad ones but when a business is lacking behind they need to know so there is an opportunity for change. I would personally prefer to know in my own business.nnI come in for work relatively often, & the past few times coming in I have noticed a decline in customer service - particularly being seen to/helped out.nYesterday I waited around 10 minutes for someone to come along to the tool area to unlock a cabinet for me, no one came, so I went up to the help desk. Polite young girl put over the intercom for someone to come give me a hand on the aisle - & another 10 minutes passed with no one showing up. I stood at the end of the aisle to make it very obvious I was waiting on some assistance.nI ended up just leaving unfortunately.nnThere have been a few instances of this sort of thing for quite some time, but yesterday was particularly poor & I won’t be rushing back anytime soon. I often avoid Mitre 10 for these reasons, but Mitre 10 was the only place carrying stock of a particular item I needed.nnOn a side note: I bought a fire pit a week or so ago & it was already rusted to hell & not to the same standard as both the display models & even the legs that came in the same box. The box was taped up so was not able to site it in store. Not a major as it will live outside & eventually get rusted anyway, but you do expect new items to be, new.nnHope to eventually see some changes in the future, but I don’t have enough time in the day to continue any shopping here going forward.
Love this huge site. Massive range of products & easy to find with aisle signage I bought a fan heater & got expert advice from the staff member. They even plugged the heater in so I could feel the heat & the quietness of the fan. The till operators are friendly too. % Satisfaction
Yesterday we came to buy a hibiscus plant in your garden section for our beach house. The younger gentleman in attendance was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the care of them and helped us with information regarding a lemon tree problem and when to prune our hydrangeas. Nothing was a problem. Obviously he loves his job but he went beyond. Thank you very much. Only problem was we went in for a hibiscus and came out with another tree, potting mix and extras. !!!!! A great asset to your store. Thanks heaps.
There are times when Customer Service really stands out. I had that today with an amazing lady who has just clocked up 10 years service. Unfortunately I don't know her name. She helped me out with an issue with a door hinge for a cupboard I was assembling. Awesome. Nothing was a problem. Thank you.
Huge store, has everything you would need from chainsaws to landscaping supplies for handyman projects to building supplies etc etc.... areas for kids to draw pictures and even a sausage sizzle stand. Fun for everyone..........
