We have been to Millies Cafe twice, and both visits were excellent. The food is beautifully presented, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I came here with my husband and also brought friends, and everyone really enjoyed the meals and coffee.nnThe staff are very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They are also very quick and thoughtful with service, which made the whole experience even better.nnThe coffee was especially impressive today — beautifully made and tasted great. We will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
Superb food, both from the menu and the selection from the cabinet, and great tasting coffee. We were recommended to go here for the fresh food that is prepared in-house and we weren’t disappointed. There is an interesting selection in the cabinet with multiple choices that each of us wanted. The menu has breakfast and brunch choices.nI am fussy about my coffee, especially looking for a perfectly made Flat White. I ordered a small one and it was perfect. The coffee beans they use are high quality, it was the right strong taste with a smooth foam. I did have previously a medium sized one and it was too weak.nWe were a party of 6 so we reserved a table using their website. It all worked perfectly.nAll of us thought the food and drinks were superb. I am sure we will be back including the soft toy puffin.
First time here, its clearly very popular. The coffee art was awesome and it was a decent coffee to drink. The staff are super friendly and efficient. The prices I would say are on par for modern cafes such as this. I had the chicken waffles, they were pretty tasty but I found some flavour elements were a bit one note. The savory items were great, the chicken and bacon had a nice complimentary flavour but the sweet side didn't balance the savory very well. The waffles were nice and fluffy but not particularly flavorful which is fine with this particular dish but the other additions didn't add much. The blueberry compote was sweet but bland for a lack of a better word and didn't add any punch which was definitely needed. A tart raspberry compote would have been better to balance the waffles and maple syrup or perhaps a citrus vibe like lemon or orange zest infused waffles, a chilli maple or hot honey instead to bring the dish up out of bland sweetness. However, its certainly not the worst chicken and waffles I've had, the presentation was great and the portion size fit the price. The sesame tuile was a cool original twist I hadn't seen before. There are a lot of tasty menu items I still want to try so I'll definitely be back.
Honestly, this place is what gets me to drive all the way up to Millwater for a weekend morning run. The food has such a great variety and amazing flavors, and the whole place feels so relaxed and welcoming. The owner/manager? remembers my favorite and surprised me with something new to try—so nice and thank you.
I absolutely love Millie’s Café!nnTheir omelette is hands down my favourite — easily the best protein-packed meal I get after the gym nnPerfectly cooked, generous portion, and super satisfying without feeling heavy.nnIt’s become my go-to post-workout brunch spot. Highly recommend if you train and care about good-quality food!
