We specialise in beautifully designed high quality textiles, from fine Belgian linens to American prints and velvets at very competitive prices!

Story

Martha’s Furnishing Fabrics imports exclusive curtain and upholstery fabric direct from top mills in Europe and America. We then sell these textiles at wholesale prices direct to you, the public. This enables us to offer high quality products at very competitive prices.

We specialise in beautifully designed textiles, from fine Belgian linens to graphic American chenilles, French velvets, quality English prints and European taffeta. Martha’s design director regularly sources luxurious and innovative fabrics from around the world.

Martha’s in-house designers can help you find fabric solutions for curtaining and furniture - new or recovery work. Give us your brief and we can collate samples for you to take home and try with your existing scheme.

We also provide telephone consultancy which is beneficial for long distance customers. Indeed, we send samples and orders all over New Zealand.

Excellent selection for home furnishing projects. I bought a bundle of remnants and 2 meters good quality tartan off the roll. Was referred here from the Fabric Store, which has lighter weight fabrics for dressmaking.
Very disappointed visit. After also reading all the positive feedback- I was horrified to find the two shop assistant discussing another customs and how difficult this particular customer was. I spent about 15 min browsing in the store and when I finally headed for the door - one assistant finally acknowledged my presence- very poor show Martha's Fabrics.
Less in love with them than I was when I first discovered Martha's during lockdown and was one of those who bought product knowing it would be months before it was sent. Lots of great stock and generally good service but not as good as they think it is

Martha's is fantastic. They have the best range of fabrics for furnishing. To top it off the staff are exceptional with help and spot on advise!
For lovers of fine fabrics curtaining and upholstery this place is a feast for your eyes. Materials colour coordinated which is very helpful and staff know their products. Parking not easy remember to pay worth waiting around for a park.
Went along after reading good reviews, however, come home feeling very disappointed. No greeting, no acknowledgement even that I was there, I wandered around for a good 15 minutes looking for something specific with samples in hand which I would have thought made it look like I was really trying to find something in particular. Many of the fabric prints lacked clarity and most of those I had viewed online were disappointing in this regard. Just about all the fabrics are $50/m so I guess that is OK if you want fabrics in the cheaper range.
If you are a serious interior fabric lover, then you just have to visit this place because the fabrics are beautiful. You will find high end Designer Fabrics here. They aren't cheap but they are absolutely unique. They are situated beside Little & Friday so you can also get great coffee and incredible food before you browse.
I adore Martha's. I am also a serious fabricoholic - with an incurable addiction of many years standing. You have to take this into account - but my first visit to Martha's almost took my breath away.I had been away from Europe from 14years and was missing eclectically challenging, bizarre- just nonsensical and whimsical delicious fabrics. I got a fix at Martha's that wet Saturday 7 years ago. My lovely husband, unfortunately, was just not persuaded to linen curtains with a pattern of stylised 18thC monkeys in palm trees . I still have the generous sample. We settled on a glorious deep chocolate synthetic silk with candy spots - in lemon, blue, mint & beige. They are still lovely. Every time I visit Auckland I try to go there. It's a bit like an Art Gallery for the fabric soul. Even the smell.....
