"MEC Marine was founded in 1993 by Bill Lampard who worked both in the UK and overseas with Volvo Penta, Mercruiser, BMW, OMC and Yamaha.One of the first companies to be appointed a distributor by Vetus, MEC Marine has expanded over the years and offers both trade and retail customers a wide range of equipment, spare parts and coatings – backed up with sound technical advice. We are regional distributors of Hempel Paints, Epifanes, Saba sealants and carry stock of Mastervolt products.We are based on the banks of the River Thames at Val Wyatt Boatyard in Wargrave. Customers who wish to visit us in person are very welcome."

I would like to thank Matt at MEC Marine for all of his help in fixing my Vetus Bow Thruster even though I had not purchased any products from MEC Marine, my boat builder refused to help even though the boat was under warranty and Matt stepped in and helped. Everyone we spoke to at MEC was helpful and friendly, but Matt really deserves credit for great customer service. Thank you.
Matt & Bill were brilliant. My Piper barge bow thruster developed a problem. Matt helped me troubleshoot the issue with numerous golden nuggets of advice & help. He supplied the part I needed from stock & I was able to fix it myself. Thank you MEC Marine. I highly recommend them.
Excellent helpful could not fault there service
After getting the runaround here in America trying to buy parts for a furling unit, I reached out to MEC for help. Bill went above and beyond in getting the parts I needed and was very patient and friendly while we worked through some technical issues getting the money transferred. Once that was cleared up he shipped out my parts promptly and they arrived in quick order. I am very pleased and grateful for all the help and service. I only wish this level of friendly, personable service were more widely available. Thanks again :D.
Highly recommend. It can be hard finding Vetus parts in UK that match EU online catalogue numbering. Luckly I was refered to MEC by Vetus HQ. Bill responded so quickly and really went the extra mile to find what I needed on what was an embarassingly small order of rubber o-rings, even sending some extra spares of different sizes "just in case". Impeccible service and business ethic, thank you! Will be my go-to place in the future!

First class customer service . Matthew was very helpful and keen to ensure we got what we needed to complete the job. This is the third time we have used MEC and the service has been exemplary each time so we will definitely use them again
Spares and repairs usually mean down time for boat owners. After mooring localy we visit MEC Marine for some parts following unsuccessful sourcing from other marine suppliers. It's friendly, informative, understanding our urgent need to get underway. The service is the best bit, Bill and Mat wrote the book about customer care nothing but nothing is to much trouble. Have no doubt about shopping here you are in safe hands.
