We called in here on our way through Mangawhai on a Monday evening and struck it lucky as the Ukulele Club were holding their monthly meeting. The place was packed, and due to this there was a limited kitchen menu available. We ordered the fish and chips for $28 and it did not disappoint. Delicious and generous pieces of fresh snapper, good chips and a side salad. Drinks are also reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Mangawhai!
Staff were rude. You have to have a member number just to have a drink. Not much help from the staff for a guy just cruising through and wanting a drink and to watch the footy. Rude and stand offish. If you're local, that's cool, but if not you're not very welcome
I had loaded fries for lunch and what a treat. Delicious food yummy flavours and plenty of it. Be prepared to have a light dinner after this excellent lunch option
Lovely social atmosphere and everyone was very welcoming. Very good food served too
