Very nice Parc great walkways Ute little ridgenVery safe and toilets available with plenty of parking
This is one of my grandkids' favourite parks! There's so much to do here. A small playground with the usual swings, slide, and climbing frames. There are public toilets nearby. Then there are the paths through the forest to the river where there are picnic benches and grassed areas, with ducks. A bridge great for playing Pooh sticks! provides access to the other side for longer walks. It's accessible with a pram too. Or you can venture off on smaller, more inaccessible natural paths.
Mair Park is one of those beautiful hidden treasures that once you find you always enjoy returning. From the vast native forests with towering trees and ferns, to the grassy flat picnic spots along the waters edge. A real gem in Whangarei.
Always love to walk around Mair park. Kids enjoy muddy puddles and can go walk into the bush to explore.nDuck and pegeons are so friendly.
Great family area, play ground for the kids and a public toilet. Lots of bush tracks where you can walk along the river or up to the top of Mt Parahaki. Feed the ducks or just lay on the grass and enjoy the sunshine
