Mahinawa Specialist School and Resource Centre is a special school for students with ORS funding. To attend the school, all students must have a Section 9 Agreement.
The school has six sites. The secondary and specialist classes are at the main site at Takapuwahia Drive. This site also has the main school office and administration Centre.
There are primary satellites for Years 1 to 6 students at Porirua School and Ngati Toa School. There are full primary satellites for students Years 1-8 at Raumati Beach School and Kapiti Primary School. There is an Intermediate satellite for students Years 7-8 at Titahi Bay Intermediate.
