Mahi Wines

Personally my favorite winery in Marlborough, very friendly and knowledgeable Max with lots of passion that his family doing on this beautiful winery ,a bit different but very delicious Sauvignon blanc and Chardonnay, also my own favorite Pinot noir! highly recommended as must visit in Marlborough, definitely will be back with friends! Thank you Max and all your family!

We had an excellent experience doing a tasting that was led by one Brian, one of the owners. Brian was very generous with his time and knowledge, spending time to walk us through the different wines and the winemaking process. He also took us on a tour of the winery and wine cave. Would highly recommend!

We were on a bike tour with “Explore Marlborough Wineries By Bike”. It was a ship tour offered to us while in the Port of Picton. We tend to opt for a small group tour while in port, but this caught our eye. It would be a bit physical, scenic and at the same time some fun comparing New Zealand’s wine country to our own here in California. Our last stop on the bike ride was at Mahi Winery, our favorite!! Beautiful grounds, beautiful architecture, beautiful wines! Unbelievably hospitable and generous with their wine, and the fantastic lunch that was prepared by their fabulous chef “Marcia”. I’m still trying to replicate the potato green bean dish, the corn with cucumber salad, and the recipe used for the salmon. Oh my gosh it was incredible! The wine...the wine....yes, we purchased some bottles to take with us on our journey back to Sydney before departing back to the USA. Thank you for a fantastic experience.

Had an fun filled time with Brian discovering the history of Mahi. Tasted a wide variety of wines and explored the beautiful surroundings of the winery. Can not wait to come back

My wife and I were lucky enough to have a private wine tour by Brian on the 15th February. It was not only the best winery visit we have ever done, it was one of the best things we did on our holiday. Brian was very generous with his time and wine knowledge. It was great to speak with someone who knows his craft so well and can share his knowledge so freely with honesty. We loved the reds and took home as many as we could carry. You can see why Mahi is so successful as its run by great people producing great wines. We look forward to going back, hopefully for one of the meals in the bunker one day.

What a fabulous experience today! Katelyn at Mahi was a superb hostess with a lovely sense of humour - she entertained us with a relaxed informative overview of the owner Brian's love affair with Mahi Wines! Stunning wines, and Brian the winemaker is full of passion, the wine tasting is one not to be missed, with some interesting variations on your stereotypical Marlborough wines thanks to his wild yeast fermentation expertise.
