Great place, I always go home with more than I went there for, lovely staff that always have a smile on their face and great service. They have a variety of items you can buy, If you need milk or meat or even a treat, they even have some last minute Xmas gift ideas. And what makes it even better yet is the Couplands bakery right next door, just brilliant, go check it out you wont be disappointed

Loving mad butchers 3 meats for $20 which includes mince, sausages, chicken etc. Love trying all the different chips & chocolate that I've never seen. Unfortunately today they had no eggs but it's not their fault. I live on otherwise of town but travel here each week for the meat & vegie deals. Keep it up mad b

Visiting my parents in Christchurch, they told me of a good special on lamb loin chops, so before we traveled home we paid a visit to get some chops, the beef mince was also a great price and a bonus of hard to get eggs where we are the egg shelves are mostly bare or extremely expensive if there are any which we got a tray of at a good price. Very happy with our visit.

I went shopping in the St John op shop in that complex good shop to browse in. I also went in to couplands to buy a couple of items for lunch. They have a good range of products

I feel this place at some stage naturally cost prohibitive in this market but it needs a revamp with some.cour or something to.make it feel more welcoming j always feel cold coming in here and ye dim grey dark feeling when in store doesn't make for a nice shopping experience but price wise if your in for a good cheap bargain on meats mad butcher had a wide variety to suit alot of families.

Friendly staff, seniors get a discount on the gold card, great place to shop, meat, fruit and veggies all in one place, what more could you want.

Really lovely service here. Helpful and knowledgeable. Some things have changed here. The checkout area seems less organized and crowded supervisor team members seem as though they arent able to see other team members clearly which causes a lag in team members receiving the support they require whilst trying to assist their customer.

Good place for cheap meat. Seems to have been targeted by thieves judging by the mugshots but this comes with the territory. Good prices.

Fantastic for bulk meat buying! When chicken filllets are on sale buy a box and that way they haven't been handled and tenderloin havent been taken off Absolutely Awesome for cheap products by checkout, got Robert Harris coffee bags there once for $4 a box of 20, at that price I was able to give out to cafe crazy friends, saved them heaps
