Hands down the best place to hire adventurous gear from in Whitianga. Absolutely wonderful interactions with all of the staff. We were well looked after and the gear was cheap to hire. They gave us to borrow waterproof phone cases and strops for free. Their safety chat was thorough and humours. They told us where to go, came and picked the wheels up from where we launched and helped us get the kayak off our roof when returning it. Hands down just lovely. Reminded me of what our grandparents talk about with business “back in the day” Not just wanting your money, but wanting to give the best service possible and looking after ya. Would 100% recommend heading into the shop if you’re wanting to explore Whitianga.
