Only a few good teachers that actually seemed to care not only about my learning, but my actual wellbeing too. Unfortunately that's really the only good thing I have to say. I left LBC in year 11 cus at that point I wasn't learning anything other than the fact that they care more about their public appearance over the health of their students. Felt so unhappy in class that I was doing all my work online in a toilet stall. I really wanted to stay in school but being at Long Bay really changed my mind about the education system and not in a good way.
Megan Fox's portrayal of Mikaela Banes in the "Transformers" series captured the attention of audiences with her striking looks and dynamic presence. In the first film, she embodied a mix of toughness and femininity, making her character memorable in a franchise dominated by action and CGI. Her signature style included form-fitting outfits that accentuated her figure, often paired with practical elements like leather jackets and combat boots, embodying a character who was both relatable and capable. This blend of glamour and grit resonated with fans, elevating her role beyond that of a typical love interest. Mikaela’s character development also played a crucial role in her appeal. She wasn't just a damsel in distress; she was resourceful and intelligent, often using her skills to help Sam Witwicky, played by Shia LaBeouf. Their chemistry added depth to the story, making their partnership feel genuine amidst the chaos of battling giant robots. The visual aesthetics of the "Transformers" films further enhanced her allure. The combination of high-octane action sequences, stunning CGI, and Fox's captivating looks created a powerful impact. Her scenes often showcased her in dynamic poses, reinforcing her character's strength and determination. In addition to her physical appearance, Fox's expressive eyes and confident demeanor contributed to her on-screen charisma. She embodied the spirit of a modern action heroine, balancing vulnerability with resilience. This multifaceted portrayal helped redefine female roles in action films, allowing viewers to see a character who could hold her own in a world of towering machines. As the series progressed, Fox continued to evolve as an actress, embracing new challenges while remaining a cultural icon. Her look and character in "Transformers" became emblematic of early 2000s pop culture, influencing fashion trends and the portrayal of women in action genres. The combination of her looks, talent, and the thrilling narrative of "Transformers" left a lasting impression, ensuring that Megan Fox’s role in the franchise would be remembered long after the credits rolled.
absolute bad school. they belittle you and make you feel like you are unworthy of a proper education and human errors. my sister comes home crying about her experiences that she has had throughout the day. this behaviour from staff is terrible and i hope they figure out how to let their students expresses their value creativity instead of giving them detention for the wrong earrings.
This school has their priorities all messed up, they will take your children out of class disturbing their learning all because of a little thing that doesn’t bother anyone but them. They do not care about the students mental health but rather the schools image when they are ruining their reputation by violating and disturbing the students and their learning. Do not send your kids to this school as they also don’t care about students learning if they do not excel and are “golden child”. They have made new rules about little things turning it into a big problem. So they should rethink their priorities and focus on students education instead of physical appearance it would make their school a whole lot better for everyone
I highly recommend Long Bay College. We chose the College for my daughter as we loved their focus of care for the students. My daughter has thrived academically and emotionally whilst at school. I've always been really impressed with the range of subjects available to students, which means kids can choose subjects they actually enjoy so are more likely to succeed.
If you are a parent looking to send your kid here, don’t. It’s a school for kids who are either normal and we’ll behaved or the scum of the earth with no in between. The teachers give up on teaching and most of the time leave half way through the year. They’re given a substitute teacher that does nothing, and are very often time’s extremely rude. Teachers don’t last. The principal is a stickler for fun and cares more about creating a school where the students in leadership positions don’t have any control over anything and makes it a mission to do anything, he doesn’t let the teachers have fun, or the kids. One of his core values is community, but fail’s extremely hard at fostering one that it’s laughable. When talking to boys who go to other schools and I ask them what they like about their school, all of them say the community and sense of belonging to it, this school falls so far short of the mark and fails to prepare their students in this regard. SEND YOUR STUDENTS TO ANOTHER SCHOOL!!!!
There has been much reviews focusing on the uniform which are one-sided and utterly blown out of proportion. If any of these parents or children complaining bothered to read, they would've realised that they'd agreed and signed their agreement during enrolment to adhere to the uniform rules. Why are you complaining now when your child insists on rolling up their skirts so high that it's making the child look very provocative and not in a good way? My daughter attends this college and flourishes there. My friend, who also has her daughter in LBC, also agrees with me on this; and her daughter thrives there too. If you're a student wanting to get educated rather than making a fashion statement, LBC can help you there. If your child is more intent on talking about makeup and clothes rather than learning, LBC will not be the best choice for them so please don't even bother to enrol them in the first place and make noise later. Most top schools around the country have even stricter rules regarding uniforms; and maybe that culture emphasising education over fashion, is what makes them top schools in the first place. My child gets excellent support in her subjects, enjoys going to school and is positively enthusiastic about her school. Her teachers, by and large, are very focused on the children's well-being. Having attended another top private school before, my daughter enjoys the many opportunities to engage, learns new things constantly and states that LBC is a good school.
I find it very unfear that the girls where called into an assembly to talk about uniform, I know there is a lot of girls that wear it incorrectly but most girls I know don't. I'm now going to move onto the rules around it, 1st the fact that the girls are told to roll there skirts and not wear make up is fine, but the no jewelry even no hair ties on wrist rule is stupid and constricting of independence. know they are trying to keep a uniformed look but striping people of indigeneity is horrific, a single bracelet should NOT be a reason for detention. To make matters worse, they waisted CLASS time sure it wasn't classic schoolwork but it was life lesions that the students had chosen and actually enjoy. over all though the school is nice, the classes are fun. the school curriculum is nice it's the priceable and other leaders of the school that make the experience an ish good time, with the lows being more rememberable then the highs.
After getting a threat on friday they called all girls to a meeting about uniform checking them 3 times before letting them leave wasting a whole lesson because of that. Also they call students billboards and they care way more about their image than our mental health.
They care more about grades than they do student relationships, and even then leave the kids who can't learn conventionally in the dust to fail while praising the golden children. Smoke free is also a lie, I've seen schools in South Auckland with better vaping control. Send your kids elsewhere, please and thank you.
