A basic backpackers motel. Basic kitchen utilities and board games. Few travel related books. Not too small rooms. But connectivity of mobile network is nil. You will have to survive only with the hotel wifi. Spacious courtyard with benches for dining with good view.
Good location in Te Anau Downs close to the start of the Milford track, and also good place to stay when visiting Milford Sound. Nice quiet place with views over the lake and great place to stargaze at night being away from town. Facilities were clean and organised and comfortable
Unsure why there's a star review lower than 5 but this place is great! Tidy, maintained, great view, peaceful, and romantic. There are flies OUTSIDE but this is Fiorland so that's expected. The place got fly screens so the inside is all good.
Weirdest shower Ive ever seen. Bed to soft, very old room, price for double bed room for what you get is expensive. Nice mountain views, nice walk to the lake, good coffee in the restaurant, nice staff.
