This was a café I had always been curious about whenever I passed by and saw so many people there — and now I know why. There’s a reason it’s always busy.nnThe food was delicious in such a clean and simple way. The breads displayed in the containers looked like little works of art — they were so beautiful. I’d love to stop by often and try them one by one.nnI truly enjoyed my visit. Thank you!
FRANCE WITHIN MT. ALBERTnnMy husband and I went for breakfast on Valentine’s Day at Little French Cafe. These are our observations:nn1. Overpopulated and very busy, which is a good sign for any restaurant.nn2. Despite being super busy, the waitress has done her best to preserve good customer relations.nn3. The croissant was NOT made right with uncooked flour inside, which I reported to the manager whom apologised and did not charge me for the croissant.nn4. Overall, despite the first impression of all tables being full, staff could do with a bit of training on what is proper. Whilst I was inside paying the bill and because others are waiting for the table, my husband got up and waited outside for me to pay and then join him, the waitress who served us walked quickly towards my husband, saying “Your bill is not settled yet” while I was inside settling the bill. This was an honest mistake on her part as she did what any waitress would do.nnADVICE; We WON’T be returning but you may care to give them a try.
First time visiting, what a lovely spot!nI’m usually not much of a café person, but I really enjoyed my visit today catching up with a friend, and even picked up a couple of lovely desserts for my friend to take home.nI’ll definitely be back.
Absolutely amazing experience at Little French Cafe! The food was incredible — everything tasted so fresh, authentic, and perfectly made. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented.nnThe service was just as impressive — warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The staff made us feel so comfortable and looked after.nnHands down the best French cafe! Everything was on point. Soooo good! Highly recommend to everyone
This visit was well and truly worthy of a re-review, having not been to the French Café Mt Albert for over two years — and wow, what a difference. The entire café has been beautifully refurbished, giving it a fresh, modern feel while still keeping its classic charm.nnOne of the biggest improvements is the service flow. There are now no issues with queues for coffee; the new setup is far more efficient and makes the whole experience smoother and more enjoyable.nnAs for the food — it remains outstanding. The pastries and dishes are still excellent, and in my view, they are probably the best French pastries in Auckland. Consistently high quality, beautifully made, and absolutely delicious.nnHighly recommended
