Having enjoyed many great evenings here for 25 years, this evening’s dinner was pretty disappointing. We really hope you get back to the previous high standards. Menu and drinks offering are really limited, quality of the food was poor and the staff attitude was a bit patchy at times. Great venue and we really hope it can be revived to its former heights. Parking: Parking was more than adequate
While there were a couple of waitstaff who were pleasant and helpful, the manager was stressed and overworked, swearing at his staff which created an unfriendly atmosphere. I also got food poisoning from the fish burger! Definitely not worth the detour from SH1.Service: 2/5
So disappointing. Sad really because we think it's a staffing issue. A not busy Sunday but we were a largish group. Ages to get served. Thought we would order some table nibbles because we were told pizzas could not be ordered for another hour. But took almost an hour to get the nibbles! So drinks flowed while we waited. Then it took forever for our mains to come out. Another round of drinks while we waited. A ploy perhaps? Food was so staggered that most had finished when some were still waiting. Salad with some mummified chicken came out the last! In fact that was the comment around the table. Everything overcooked to the point of no flavour and so dry it was hard to eat. But buns hard and cold and chips undercooked. We didn't complain because it was a special occasion but we were faced with a staggering drinks bill because we had to wait so long for what ended up as very below average food. We have lunched here several times before and the food has been OK. That's what makes us think it's a staffing issue. Well hopefully!
The service by the young lady who served us was great. She was helpful and accommodating for our dog. She had a tatoo of her dog which had recently crossed over to spirit. I had an ice mocha, my partner had the home made lemonade and burger. Non of the above could have been improved. Vegetarian options: I ordered the tempura eggplant. It was sull of flavour. One of the tastiest things I've eaten in a long while.
Great place with wicked fish & chips! Staff are super friendly & efficient. Great place to get away to for a nite or longer as great music happening. Kid-friendliness: Family oriented & pets allowed as nice garden set up
We had made a reservation for lunch, which was confirmed, only to be told when we arrived that they were "too busy" and were serving drinks only. Very poor customer service that's for sure, a phone call would have been nice as it was a very long drive to get there. I would give them 'zero' stars if I could.
Only stopped for food at the Sawmill Brewery & Bar. Was nicely set up with saw equipment etc. Food was pub food which was nice & tasty.Service: 4/5
Great location, really good service but the food was sooo disappointing. Everything we ate was deep fried and not as described.

Haven’t been up here for quite a few years, popped in for a buffalo chicken pizza and fries topped off with cider .. pizza was delivered and atmosphere was great . Staff were amazing!! Thank you
