Straight away we were greeted with a friendly welcome & given menus, great customer service. My partner and I both had the hash stack with eggs it was delicious everything on the plate was perfect & the sauce was so yum! The coffee was average but I think it was the coconut milk. The food also took a wee bit longer than expected to come out as there was only one other table of 3 in the cafe when we ordered but it was worth the wait. Despite this, we will be back for sure
This cafe is little gem hidden on High St, Lower Hutt. Had lunch with my family here. Food was fantastic! Freshly made, price is reasonably good for the big portions you receive. Fluffy pancakes with topping of crystalized bananas, bacon, fresh cream and syrup on the side. Chicken fettuccini was rich and creamy. Has a little kick of spice in it. Huge portion! Very filling but absolute delish! Omelette cooked to perfection. Eggs Benedict was good, mushrooms well cooked. However eggs were a little overcooked therefore no running yolk and the hollandaise looked more like mayonaise but overall it was very tasty! Waffle was fresh, moist with a touch of crunch to the crust. I purchased a carrot cake to take home. It wasn't the best carrot cake I've had but it was still edible. Cake was a little dense and icing was quite firm. It seemed it was from the night before but the flavours were there. The service was great and friendly. If you have a big appetite and you enjoy a good hearty meal then this place would be the best place to be! Kid-friendliness: They have a good variety of kids meals
When I got the creamy mushrooms, I didn't think they meant creamy as in creamy with cheese. Nonetheless, still tasty but a bit too heavy for me. The smoothies here are great though.Food: 4/5
Really enjoyed my full breakfast and coffee and carrot/walnut cake today. Was so hungry! Food was prompt and well priced great menu selection and breakfast was available after midday on a Friday. Server was charming and friendly and greeted everyone warmly. Appeared to be many regulars, wish this was my localFood: 5/5
Really enjoyed the food and so did the kids. Found the services quite slow so was hard telling the kids they had to keep waiting as they were telling me they were hungry and for one of them, their drink took ages to come out. Also recommend getting a table further away from the counter if dining in, as it is very noisy with the coffee machine and blenders nearby. However the food was amazing, had the Eggs Benedict with Salmon and it was great. Kids got hotdog/chicken nuggets with chips and they were a good size for them.
I am blown away by the great taste of my Angus beef burger. The tasty fresh ingredients were excellent. Good side of chips too made it very filling. Would have been perfect if they had more textured meat patties that aren't so soft because they use binders such as flour or egg. Solicitous service. No problems at all.
Absolutely fabulous service, my hubby felt faint so was given a pillow and water whilst he recovered. Nothing was a hassle, lots of support, above and beyond. Food was great too. Highly recommendedFood: 5/5
First time trying this place and my gosh i cant wait to go back !! I ordered a rib eyed steak panini , mince and cheese pie and a iced mocha and my goodness they were delicious !! . Im a mimced and cheese lover and i love a good pie with heap of cheese oozing out with every bite and this pie did the job ! After trying a few bakeries in the hutt to find a pie like this i gave up until today !! I usually go for a chicken and brie panini but the steak one was a hit for me ! Very soft and juicy pieces of meat and not chewy at all !!! Flavours in that panini were amazing !! And lastly the mocha. I always tend to grab and go at the mcds drive through for my iced coffees as i never come across one made so decent and yummy until i tried Kiwi cafe !! . 5 stars and highly recommend here . I will definitely be back to try out other items on their menu but most likely might just add in todays order as my regular . Great customer service as well . Very welcoming and friendly .
Fantastic little café with lots of potential to become a must visit institution. The menu has all the classic favourites, and the cabernet food is equally appealing, particularly the carrot cake with cream cheese icing and walnuts. The coffee is good and will definitely put you in a great mood. They have a selection of wines and spirits, if you feel that the coffee isn't doing the trick and need more time chatting with your friends. Staff are great and handle online Uber eats as well as walk in customers well. Overall this is a café that can establish an excellent resurgence for the Suburb and is worth stopping and checking the place out.
Beautiful food. Took our brother there for his 40th birthday breakfast. Abit sad all the food came out except one came very late, by the time it came my table had finished their meals so I took it takeaway.
