The place looked dirty. The service was terrible. I waited AGES to be served. Then they mucked up the order. There was a youngish male "working" he had a disgusting attitude in store, and when we were leaving, we were cut off as he zoomed off site in a vehicle, turning right at the exit , where there is clear indication of a "no right turn", nearly hitting our vehicle. Never will I get anything from this store again!!
It was disgusting. The whole place was filthy. The service was so slack. Heaps of people waiting and the service people were standing talking and moving like snails. Drinks were warm. I will never go back. The rubbish outside was gross.Food: 2/5
One of the worst KFC's in NZ, ordered a colonel ultimate combo, burger was chicken fillet, lettuce and sauce. No tomato or onion. When you pay $20 bucks for a meal you expect the main item to be done correctly. In the past they had forgotten items to an order which I let slide but this is just ridiculous.
Out of the two people who served us....the girl was great, the guy not great. The place was a mess. A water leak from the roof so a big water puddle on the floor. No tables wiped down with food etc on them. The guy who was not great at serving was also hopeless at wiping down tables. He wiped all the food,rubbish etc straight onto the floor where a family were wanting to sit at that table! Very slow to get served and then get our order. Never seems to change in the 16 years I've been in the Taupo area. Why is this?
Charlie the night manager is the best ! going the extra mile isn't just a cliche when you serve customers outside of normal hours because you aren't too busy to cater to visitors to the area and she did it with such cheerful disposition leaving a lasting impression, no wonder the company has put her in there. even tho it was closed we were soooo hungry and probably one of the best chicken out of all the stores in the region from Hawkes Bay to the Central North island. look forward to dining in next time. thx Charlie regards, Leon

Honestly this should be a negative score as this was by far the worst kfc I have actually had in the world and yes I have had it from Thailand to Europe. We waited forever and the food tasted like it had been sitting there for hours and honestly was just bin worthy. I would recommend going elsewhere and not wasting your hard earned money,
So sad to see such things in kfc, just sharing about my experience at kfc Taupo, that I am just waiting to place and order and it takes around 20 min to just place an order. I can see old lady is trying her best to fulfill order but lack of trained staff to acknowledge counter customers approaching them, what a service? If any one is looking about your service and expectations please improve your service standards please . Love kfc but can’t afford such a wait time please to return back.. just requesting for solutions please!!!
Not happy with the presentation at all. The burger was upside down, very disappointed. I even complaint about the food but nobody even acknowledged it
Wow. Really dirty, but the staff were super laid back and looked like they enjoyed their job. Really dirty though. I didn't get food poisoning though, so maybe it was clean in the important places. So dirty.
