Very disappointing experience at KFC Hāwera.nnWhile the food is consistent with what you’d expect from any KFC across New Zealand, the service at this branch is incredibly poor. I placed my order and ended up waiting more than 45 minutes just to get my meal.nIt felt like the staff were prioritizing drive-thru orders over dine-in customers, though I can't be certain—either way, the wait time was far too high. To make matters worse, the tables were quite dirty and hadn't been cleared or wiped down.nAt the end of the day, the food is the same everywhere, so it’s the service and cleanliness that make the difference. Unfortunately, this location failed on both counts.
Everytime I order wicked wings, like EVERY TIME, they dont include any wing base, just the wing tip. Are they somewhat hoarding it?
Today 24th July 2026, hubby & Thought we'd have k duck for lunch, wot a mission. Why does the kfc store manager place a worker at drive thru window who cannot understand a simple order & once we arrive at the window to pay & collect it's even harder to understand him, the order was obviously incorrect, chips were yuk, soft'ish. I'd have to say this store is the worse kfc in Aotearoa.
More than 30 minutes wait, then They substitute main part of order With an inferior product, and don’t even Provide the other half Of the order - After half an hour waiting not going back to wait another half an hour for the other half. Most shocking experience I’ve ever had at KFC.
Super impressed with the drive through service!! We’ve been to KFC’s from everywhere in between Auckland to Invercargill and Hawera KFC hands down wins! Literally 1 min from entering the drive through to exiting.
