10 piece bucket was absolutely amazing. Whoever the night cook on Monday 13th May 2024 was, keep them on. Cooked to perfection. Potato and Gravy, to die for. That prep person needs a raise. Perfect smooth gravy and perfect 3 scoops of potato in the pot. Keep up the good work guys. Fresh hot chips as well just be a bit more generous with the chicken salt
Went in to buy some chips and there was a sign on the counter saying fries, coleslaw and a third item I can't recall being unavailable. Only one staff member present, a teenage boy, who looked at me with what I can only call a strange expression on his face, hardly friendly. To be fair on him, perhaps he was nervous working unsupervised. Looked around the restaurant. To be fair, the counter and table tops were clean as a whistle, but the windows were very dusty and there were scraps on the floor. Granted this is a rural town where many customers pick up their order and go home, however the dining area is far too small for a large family gathering or group occasion such as a business or Church lunch. Also tried applying online for work there and gave up. While this ultimately goes back to KFC management protocol in America and other parts of New Zealand and is not a slur on the Dannevirke business, the application process is full of unnecessary complications. You have to provide photocopies of your Birth Certificate, Driver Licence or similar personal identification. Gave up when they wanted a signed letter from a Justice of the Peace. Are we frying chicken or escorting the Prime Minister?
Stunned at how bad the service was. After finding out what was left at 18:00 there was next to nothing available. We didn’t get what we ordered, order came with mayo, despite asking several times to not include mayo. Returned and re-served with more mayo, couldn’t make it up. Got a refund but fml, will never return and would recommend licking the pavement is a probably better choice.
This is the best kfc I’ve ever been to. I made my order, turned around and then it was ready. The chicken was fresh out the fryer it was crazy good. 10/10
