My 5-year-old daughter arrived on time for her first lesson at 3:30pm on 18/10/2022. She behaved pleasantly and wasn't disruptive or noisy at any point.  She and her mother were thoroughly ignored by Shore Dance staff. At the beginning, my daughter did her best to soldier on and participate in group activities; inevitably, after a while of being treated like a pariah for reasons she or us couldn't comprehend, she began drifting from the rest of the group. At that point, nobody from Shore Dance attempted to find out what was wrong, or to encourage her to join back in.  At no point anybody welcomed, addressed or approached her or her mother--not when they arrived, not when the lesson began, and not when they left before lesson's end after obviously not having had their needs taken care of.  These people do not display the minimal skills required to interact with, let alone teach, children; in fact, they don't seem to be up to having a professional and civil interaction with adults, either.  Shore Dance is just one of many places selling fairly generic "dance for children" services in the North Shore/Auckland marketplace, so there's no need for us to seek this level of rudeness and disregard. We won't be back.

My daughter is absolutely in love with Shore Dance, has been dancing there for more than 2 years since she was a tiny 4yo ballerina. She is counting down the days to her every ballet class and looking forward for the yearly ballet shows. Highly recommend to young dancers, they will definitely blossom there and enjoy themselves in friendly and family-like atmosphere of Shore Dance
