Kang Nam Station

I came here a few times when I was a student. After all this time their food is still pretty good. Their sizzling dishes are the best here. Their seafood pancake needs more flavour and a little more crisp. I think the dipping sauce can add a bit of fried spring onion and also some fish sauce could be good. Price is good here and the lady who cooks, serve and basically run the whole restaurant by herself is very good. Also, everyone here gets their own set of side dishes and they are also great.

This legendary Korean restaurant has been around for decades and I haven't enjoyed Korean food as much as I did today. We had the spicy squid, bulgogi, fishroe soup and spicy beef noodle dishes and they were thoroughly enjoyed Lil side dishes for everyone with refills too! Friendly bosses and food came out in no time. Enjoyed the noodles too much I even forgot to snap a photo. Highly recommended!

You can feel the vibe from outside with the cool design of the restaurant. Welcoming customers service and friendly. Entry and kimchi are free and you can refill it as many times you want. Food tastes really good and definitely going back when craving for Korean food. The order was quick and yummy. Price and portion are reasonable. Take a chance to try it you won't regret :

Simple, no frills Korean restaurant. Good selection of dishes. Ordered the fried chicken half portion, spicy cold noodles and oxtail soup. Everything was good and includes a small assortment of side dishes Banchan. Self serve water.

This place brought back fond memories of Korea for me. I used to live not far from the real Gangnam Station and have wanted to come here for a while. I was not disappointed. The food was pretty good and the staff was really accommodating - they brought us some kimchi on request. I'd come back here if I were craving Korean.

A place to be if you are craving for authentic Korean cuisine. I had a wonderful time dining, fast service, wide range of food menu-all yummy and affordable. They also serve a good portion of side dishes. Great ambiance, excellent service, my tummy were so satisfied and definitely will be coming back...very soon

Fantastic food and very fast service. Good flavours and heat level. Nice to have the little tray of accompaniments too. Not sure if they do BYO or not but they don't serve alcohol.Food: 5/5

Beef soup is bland. Fish is fresh but a bit salty. Fried dumpling is not like in the menu and served with soy sauce I think it'd better come with chinese vinegar.Food: 3/5

Came for dinner due to rather high ratings. Ordered the soondubu which is written as tofu soup on the menu. Soondubu jjigae is actually a stew rather than "soup" with soft tofu, vegetables and other ingredients commonly seafood, sometimes meat. While surprised and slightly disappointed that the banchan side dishes that came did not include kimchi, I was pleasantly surprised that the soup base tasted rather close to the authentic dish. FYI, I lived in Korea and have learnt to cook this dish in a cooking class before. However, halfway through the meal, I realised something was missing. I dug through the stew and found that the ingredients were just many bits of tofu with some slices of onion and leek. Where were the seafood and egg? I checked the menu picture to confirm that it showed a prawn, some clams and a raw egg yolk. Thinking that the cook may have forgotten about adding these ingredients in, I checked with the server and was told that the egg was beaten in I later dug more and found a morsel of cooked yolk that is definitely not a whole yolk and there is no seafood for this dish! I found that unbelievable as the soup base had a strong seafood taste, and the menu picture showed seafood ingredients so I naturally assumed that the stew should contain it. So essentially, it is $19 for a seafood-tasting stew with mostly tofu and no actual seafood or any meat inside. Pros: Food portion was quite substantial. Service staff was friendly. Opens till late. Cons: Deceiving menu picture and not value-for-money for the soondubu dish, no kimchi served, quite hot in the back dining area, 60 cents charge for paying with a foreign credit card first time that I encountered such a charge only for foreign cards.
