Such a lovely soup stop Beautiful soups, chill vibes, licenced, clean & cozy. The service is fast but relaxed. I would guess this authentic Korean eatery was family run & I wish the lady serving was my mom! . The dishes have a family style warmth about them that feeds the soul. It's a simple setting but the flavours, the spice & the fresh ingredients cannot be argued with. This is comfort food at its best.
This is one of the cleanest Korean restaurants on Upper Queen Street. Good range of traditional Korean bone broth soups available. Though, the dishes I ordered is a bit too sweet for my liking. They did however, tasted healthier no overpowering flavours and more like a home made version. The kimchi was delicious and fermented well. The lady who served us seem to know limited English. But she was welcoming and friendly, which was super cute
PORK BONE SOUP - must have dish here. The perfect place for a cold rainy day for some Korean soup to warm up the tummy. The pork bone soup had very generous portions of meat within. It is a Korean dish which you have to rip the pork meat off the bones and they provide you with gloves for you to use for this purpose and a bone Bowl. Had with a bowl of rice and complimentary side dishes was delicious. Very peaceful environment to be within with classical music playing and murals of Korean traditional plants and descriptions of their dishes up and about. The staff were friendly. Will be back again! Kid-friendliness: Would recommend the sizzling dishes for the kids. Parking: Wilson car park nearby, but also paid street parking along side streets. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible as long as some one can hold open the door.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere with yummy food. I had the sizzling squid, the flavours were delicious and the rice on the side was nice and sticky. I'm not a big rice fan but that rice was so good I had to have it all!
recommend this place. Beautiful decor and soothing music. Owners were soooo lovely and generous. Let's talk about the food... wow!! I've lived in Suncheon, Korea for four years and having a sip of the soup instantly brought me back to Korea. The food is legit!! The was sooo on point! It was exactly how my would have made it.
Affordable prices for delicious food. Tastes homemade. Kimchi is fresh. Great portions. Radish kimchi, cabbage kimchi and cinnamon onion side dishes served with food. All meals come with a rice bowl. We loved it and will definitely be back for more. Had the sizzling squid, sizzling chicken and hot pot bulgogi. Favourite for me was the bulgogi!!
dang! Best pork bone soup in NZ ever. to be honest this place is perfect. My favourite korean food is pork bone soup and explore to find good pork bone soup place every single time? And look what i found today damn. Chunky meat and thicker soup base thats what i want ! Very similar to real korean pork bone soup in korea. Before i went to K soup i use to another korean store ofc they have pork bone soup but you know not a local taste very average not tooo spicy like you know if you been to korea you might be understand what im trying to say it. One thing i can see they don’t including green things but its okay because the only soup is so perfect so they cover them though. Side dish very simple kimchi , radish kimchi. Thats what we need when we eat pork bone soup. The owner also friendly. Just love this place ! definitely visit again sometime. Plus If you likes Korean food you must be try this place !!
Amazing! Brilliant! Very good food! Excellent service! Tried a lot of dishes and love them all!
We had the Seafood Tofu Soup and the Sizzling Squid. Both were delicious and was definitely what we were expecting. Both are spicy but can definitely request to make them less spicy. Both dish comes with a cup of rice. We went on a weekday, once for late lunch and once for early dinner. The place was not too full on both occassions and the food were served quite quickly. The place is clean.
All the other reviews are positive…. But honestly never seen such little soup for $23….The pictures are the quantity that we had when putting it into our bowls at home. Maybe city prices and quantity are different than North and South Auckland???
