JKA/SKC Karate runs out of the Waimauku Primary School hall. Tuesdays and Thursdays. I teach from 5 years old and up kids/parents combined.

Story

Come along to our karate dojo and learn the true art of Shotokan Karate.

The style of karate we practice is Shotokan, pioneered by Japanese Okinawan master Gichin Funakoshi and developed by Master Masatoshi Nakayama.
Our Chief Instructor is Sensei Keith Geyer 8th Dan of Melbourne Australia. My Area Instructor is Sensei John Grieve 3rd Dan on the North Shore.

We learn:
The Basics(Kihon)-Foundation of Shotokan Karate
Kata(Form)-Combine Basic moves of blocks and strikes and kicks in a pattern.
and Kumite(sparring)-One on one basic sparring without contact but teaching you to control and focus.

We do a variety of fitness to go hand in hand with our Karate training.

I know Good karate helped me with my posture, balance, dicepline and confidence.
