Great food, great spot and great staff. Had the prawn cocktail, grilled prawns, oysters and the chips. The prawn cocktail was great and the grilled prawns were awesome, just a bit expensive. The oysters were great if you like them huge. They were too big for some of us but that could be a bonus for others. Only concern I had was the beer lines for the Estrella needed to be cleaned as I could tell it was that time. Switched to bottled beer and was great. I would have mentioned it discreetly but the staff on that particular day weren't familiar on the bar. This may have been resolved later in the day. The staff were super friendly and helpful regardless and the host the second time we went was really good at his job. Made everyone walking in feel welcome. Will definitely go back!
A upper class takeaway? The food was not bad. Garlic butterfly prawn looks better than it tastes and the seafood chowder was a bit bland. No table service and you go pick up your food when ready. The venue was nice though
Licensed venue with Fantastic seafood, trendy decor and licensed bar. Would recommend to other travelers. Only drawback was the lack of training provided to the front of house staff as they didn't know the menu, POS system nor basic logistical knowledge for the premises, which is clearly a management issueFood: 5/5
By far the best seafood platter I/we have ever had. The cooked parts were cooked to perfection. The Chowders, very tasty. I can't recommend this dish enough. Going back tonight for the Fish Pie. Wine list covers all bases. Service was awesome. Edit I don't seem to be able to write a new review so will add to yesterdays. Greeted by Ash and Chester like long lost friends The whole team were awesome again. This time, I had the Smoked Fish Pie , awesome. Donna had the Fish n Chips. The fish was cooked perfect and the chunky chips great. Oysters for dessert, yip, wanted the taste to last. So large and sweet. Thanks team. See you in a few weeks.
Absolutely amazing fish and chips! A lovely light but crispy batter over the fish and AMAZING tartare sauce. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend you stopping by for a bite to eat.
Is this the best seafood platter in NZ? Quite possibly! Super tasty, generous portion, beautiful interior and the staff is great. Worth every $$$$$. I have never eaten better seafood.
Amazing food, awesome people, great atmosphere, fantastic live entertainment… I throughly enjoyed my evening…. It’s not the first time and definitely won’t be the last The owners are lovely and Herby is such a friendly and knowledgeable front of house staff member
Beautiful setting, really worth going for a drink and a lighter lunch but don't expect an exceptional meal. Fun to go with a group for drinks and sharing dishes.
Can absolutely recommend it. Super cozy inside and outside. Very friendly staff. Delicious fish and chips!
We had a wonderful meal on a rainy Friday night. I don't know how we managed to finished that seafood platter as it was huge! Look forward to visiting again the next time we are in Paihia.Food: 5/5
