As always with my ratings, if nothing really put me off, then I see no reason not to give 5 stars. I was walking back down Queen St towards the harbour and was feeling quite peckish, then the curry aroma as I passed their open door made me stop mid-stride. I wish their menus were a bit more consolidated in that I completely missed out on a deal or two that in hindsight I saw on the opposite wall and outside on the window. But either way, I sat down for a quick lunch bite at what I think is a reasonable price, maybe dollar less would be more enticing, but good nonetheless. For eating in, the presentation was pretty clean too see pics, and they'll clean up your plates once you leave. Garlic Naan was fantastic as was fluffy all through instead of being over done and crunchy. Also, there aren't too many protein and curry varieties available, but still good. The batata vada fried balls I thought would be interesting but were cold all through, so maybe ask them to reheat it.
Horrible ! We had spicy butter chicken which had chilly flakes all over it and curry was pure sugar, the dish was completely off balance. After finishing the meal had a terrible stomach ache till next day. Don't want to visit ever again.
Absolutely worst experience! Had checked in for the first time to this place, ordered samosa, they had one week old stuffing in it. When told them about it, chef came out and said it is because of the tea masala which has made this taste. Who puts tea masala in a samosa? : And curry which was ordered has made my stomach ill. Will never turn up there.
Good always nice and hot, not too spicy but not sugary like most of the butter chicken from malls taste these days. Presentation was beautiful I feel its a bit on the small side but other then that everything was great. Husband buys from here pretty much everyday and keeps bugging me to write a review :P. Garlic naan is the bomb too.
I pre ordered arrived on uber and still had to wait. The large takeaway container is pretty much the same as the small takeaway container. The customer service was shocking and very rude. The authenticity of the food is no where close to anything its a shame so many turn the traditional food into something more european. First and last. Cheap but nasty
Good value. $13.40 for a 2 curry large with rice including naan. Curries are not made fresh in a bay Marie but naan is . Taste is ok and quick service if you are in a hurry. Can eat in or takeaway. 3 stars for taste and 5 for value so 4 overall
Went with my family. We all had severe stomach problems the days following our meal which affected our holiday. I highly advice that no one attend this place to eat. The food was cold and was overall the worst Indian cuisine experience we have ever had.
This restaurant is at the back of the food court on the bottom floor where Event cinemas is based. I have visited twice and both curries I got were nicely done. The seating area is beside it although you are sharing with all the other restaurants. It's reasonably cheap for Auckland and it does the job.
Pretty legit, cheap little Indian place. Not much seating but meals are fast and surprisingly tasty. The samosa Chaat is a real highlight and a great cheap lunch option. Wish more places sold this
Ordered Snack box & pizza. Waited 20 mins for pizza then asked about it, turns out it had been sitting there for 10 mins because they 'forgot' about it. In between me ordering and finding out my pizza has been ready ready for 10 mins they had one customer. The girl that took my order spent most of her time just sitting there looking at her phone. Worse then useless.
