This is a great shop for hobbyists who like to make electrical projects. The only problem is not enough staff to ask. They usually get stuck with a customer who have a lot of of questions.
The young guy who served me was a pure asset to Jaycar. He gave me sound advice. I brought two items he suggested both worked perfectly and made me confident to return to buy more stuff. Just a real pleasure when you are dealing with good staff. Highly recommended.
The staff are friendly but are terrible at providing updates if you are waiting on an item on order. I contacted them numerous times lost count over a 6-month period regarding a battery that I ordered online after their website started it was in stock; sadly, it was not. Not once did they contact me to give me an update on what was going on; I was always chasing them up. I ended up getting a battery only when I asked them to change my order to a different model. Would only recommend using this store if what you want is already stock.
Great shop, but had probably the worst custom service ever! From one particular staff member. Arrogant discourteous and inflammatory. This isn't typical of there staff. This person needs a serious wake up.

I'm changing my review of this store. Despite having had a less than favorable experience in the past, when change is noticeably evident it certainly deserves recognition and I want to sinerely thank the store manager for his professionalism, light hearted humor and patience showen last night. I had over calculated my spend and was declined a number of times before he worked with me to reduce my purchase down item by item. This can be painful at the best of times let alone at closing time. Thank you for making my shop a jaycar an enjoyable experience.
