Story

My art is my unique vision inspired by Maori culture, my Hungarian origin, my architectural background & other cultures I experienced through life. Each piece is of my own design and completely handmade.

I have traveled around the world and experienced many cultures. A few years ago I met a fabulous artist/master carver called Ric Moor in New Zealand. He invited me to try stone carving in his studio, where I started to learn from the basic.

After a few months of carving I made my first sales trip. Despite of low season, high quality galleries and museums bought my products all over New Zealand and I was accepted to work in Lewis Gardiner’s (Maori master carver) workshop as well. Jade carving became my passion and I decided to settle down in Auckland to live as a carver, designer & architect. Hopefully, as an artist, I will be able to repay my masters’ teaching.
