Had some useful help with the process for updating my details as a newcomer to the country, was notified of an uncollected refund. The IRD portal works quite well.nnGave my details and was paid next day. Very efficient compared to the tax authorities I'm used to back home.
Lady on the front desk was a bit rude. Asked me the same question multiple times, which is my birth name and which is my alias. Not a hard one to follow after clearly explaining multiple times AND showing her my birth certificate but she couldn't seem to listen and acted as if I was the silly one.nKnew I was in a hurry but was more interested in lecturing me and talking down to me. All I needed was a print out of my name and address etc, not that hard but she made it harder than it needed to be and did not care that I was in a hurry. Overtalked me too. Some people really need to get over themselves.nThe man yesterday afternoon was kind though.
Pretty useless there isint a call back option anymore!nTried all contact numbers and self service and kept getting told they can't take my call and go to the website! Sort it out as going online can take two weeks for a response.
