I went hunting and fishing a few days ago, and as a long-time customer who has spent 1000s of dollars here, I was completelynappalled by the customer service. I wanted to look at a BB gun, so I asked a guy behind the back counter by the gun room to have a look at one of the lower-end models he was really grumpy, rude and unhelpful. I have had other instances of bad service in the past, too. I have shopped here for many years and will probably continue to do so, but I think there is a lot left to desire regarding the staff members and overall customer service and salesmanship. the only reason I have left a two-star review is because of some of the experiences I have had at this store that have been good.
Went to the store recently for the purpose of locating a Bergen cover. After wandering around the store for a while I asked a staff member, and she was really helpful. I explained i wasn't sure of the exact size of my pack, and she explained the process of returns and swapping if necessary provided packaging was still available. I thought this was really amazing, and made me feel like i'd happily shop at this location again :
GOT SCAMMEDnThe unhelpful employee spooled my reel and charged me nearly double the price as it should be for the line. I am a fisherman and know that this reel only can fit 130 meters of line, but yet he still charged me for 300 meters.nThe man had terrible customer service and was arrogant. He questioned everything and thought he knew what he was talking about, trying to sell me a reel that was horrible quality.nNever go to this shop hoping for good service.
The staff were very helpful. Although they didn't have a simple hand line in store
