I stopped there for dinner on my way to Dunedin and to have a break. I had the crispy battered cod recommended by the waitress. It was beautiful, the blue cod was melting in my mouth, fries were also good. I had choose half rather than full, which was 3 big pieces - sorry I only too the photo half way thru my meal. Would highly recommend
The atmosphere was busy and vibrant. It is a pleasurable environment to eat and drink in. The staff were busy and we had to go and ask for table service, The staff could have been more friendly. The were adiquit for the job. The food was generous and cooked well. My pan fried cod was cooked well, but very heavily seasoned with salt, which ruined it.tge vegetables and salad were delicious. My husband's lamb rack was perfectly cooked, but the gravey was again far too salty.
Deep fried stuff was good.nBaked salmon was good. Satay soba noodle was unique.nSteak was overcooked.nThe place was quiet and nice for dinner. Service ladies were pretty and cute
The food is generous and tasty. We had a Moroccan beef salad, a shrimp and scallop salad, and an order of nachos. The Moroccan salad was really just a well done salt and pepper steak salad. I couldn't taste any Moroccan spices like cinnamon, cumin, etc. so I'm assuming it's a local interpretation of the real thing. The shrimp and scallops salad was masterful. Delicious crisped potatoes, mixed lettuce greens added a lovely mouth texture and visual color. The nachos were hot and the quantity of guacamole and sour cream was eye opening. The salsa was awful though. No cilantro, garlic or jalapenos, so more of an onion and tomato sauce. The ambiance is lovely with comfortable chairs and an open style. Only real downside was seeing into the kitchen with the chef picking her nose constantly. Made eating the meal a little iffy.
Again great service food was exceptional today April 2025.steak sandwich will not disappoint.nA favourite of the family to visit we were not disappointed. The food is consistently good, service is friendly and usually quick.nVisited in Jan 2025 the Steak was so juicy and definitely a man sized portion.nStill delicious.
