I spend a lot of time in India as part of my treatment schedule. I was surprised to see a traditional Indian restaurant here in Auckland. Hornbill Indian Restaurant has the original Indian taste. The prices are very reasonable for the good quality of food they are offering.

Authentic Kerala food.. hidden gem which we got to know about, very recently. Will definitely visit again .

It was great tasty traditional Kerala food, I have shared the food with my non Indian friends, they loved it.

Ordered appam, chicken Briyani, parotta and beef roast. My favorite was beef roast 9/10. Parotta was bit chewy but taste was good. Appam was too soft and chicken Briyani was ok.

I had butter chicken combo, it was only $10 with Naan, rice, pappad and enough chicken pieces I loved the food

Terrible curry. Got it takeaway, very disappointed when we got home. Ordered both a large and regular curry, both had less than 5 pieces of chicken in each. Very watery. Naan was obviously a day old atleast and quarter the size of regular naan. Sadly do NOT recommend.
