Hilton Hotel Queenstown, NZ

A close friend recommended I stay here and I can confidently say I was absolutely blown away. Exceeded expectations! The location is amazing, staff warm and hospitable, rooms well appointed and facilities outstanding. Met so many other lovely hotel guests out by the fire pit - couples and families - so I feel the hotel is suited to all. Enjoyed the spa, pool and catching the water taxi into town. Parking was reasonably priced. I had an issue with my personal phone at one stage and the gentleman at reception was incredibly helpful to me as a solo female traveller. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I’m not sure if the ones giving low ratings are reviewing the same resort or hotel as those of us giving top marks. All I know is, this is definitely a place I will return to and stay at. Love the location - away from all the busy tourists spots and pesky tourists. And yet, just a ferry ride away to down town. And a short walk to Franklin. The service and amenities are top notch! Enjoyed the evening swim in the heated swimming pool and loved the meals we had the restaurants. The staff were all very accommodating. Especially Ace. Thank you very much for making our experience very memorable. We hope to see you again soon. A must stay place for those who want to experience Queenstown and get away at night for some peace and quiet.

We had a lovely stay here to celebrate our daughter turning two. Dissimilar to some of the other reviews our check in experience was positive as Mohamed was warm, welcoming and kept us updated throughout our early check-in request since our room was still getting readied. Their check in time is later than most at 4pm. We were given complimentary wine whilst we waited by the fire. Once settled in we enjoyed our experience at the hotel. For those driving, we discovered free parking in the select areas just outside the lobby where cars are parallel parked. These spots are actually closer to the Hilton Resort than their paid basement parking.

A way out of town which is not ideal when dining options are limited in the area, but the location is so peaceful and the water taxi is great when available, bike hire next door super handy and the rooms themselves are comfortable and we had a beautiful view. Bar downstairs is gorgeous on a nice day. No mini bar in room but good coffee maker and fresh 2 x 750ml water bottles every day was appreciated

Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Bar on the waterfront was so nice to sit and relax in the sun. The drinks and bar food was so yummy! And continental breakfast in morn made it s great start to the day. The rooms are huge and we were upgraded to water front view. Thanks so much! I see why some say it’s getting a little dated. Carpet was pilled in places and it could use refresh colour scheme as it’s very dark. However it was great for a stop over. And we would stay again. So close to airport! And parking just there.

After trying for over an hour for someone to actually pick up the reception phone, we got through to speak to someone, how the Hilton can't answer the main phone number is beyond me. The day of checking in we called to see the possibility of early check in as we were coming in from a caravan park camping. Told that we were a "no show" and our booking which was made over 3 months ago was cancelled. No explanation as to how our dates got changed in their system and I had to fight to get my original booking honored, luckily I had all my paperwork. No apologies or anything... Anyway .. checking in... They tried charging higher rates... Again, needing all my prior paperwork to prove the rate I booked. Hopeless service. The room was nice, bed was amazing. Some channels on the TV didn't work, asked reception for someone to help... Was there for 3 days and no one followed up, offered any service to help and just forgotten about. Breakfast was good, breakfast staff were super nice. Overall, not what I expect from a 5 star hotel, very poor service and not really a good experience to be honest. Oh and to top it all off, after checking out and returning home.. overcharged and didn't return my full "room bond" ...typical

Very nice place with amazing views. Rooms as described, water taxi is great but probably need to have 2 boats on Friday and Saturday nights not really to do with the hotel. Spa and pool were great, we maintained. Breakfast buffet is priced well, however it being Hilton you’d expect a bit better food. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Truly a great hotel. Has a bar/pub and a restaurant. The water taxi leaves almost every hour to take you over to downtown Queenstown for $7 each way. Super easy, avoids traffic, and you get a nice boat ride. Great views for all of the lake side rooms. We were upgraded to the Lakeside Residence suites and it was a delightful experience.

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience. The balcony room with view of the lake was well worth it. The breakfast was excellent, freshly baked goods and wide selection of choices. Doesn't get a chance to use the spa facilities but will definitely be back to immerse in it! Water Taxi to town was $7 and frequent.

Our room was fantastic, the location was perfect. Staff were friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed every part if our stay, and will return. Super grateful for the little extras to make it even more special.Rooms: 5/5
