From my experience, you have to remind the trainers to do your child’s assessment and move them to the next level. Even if your child is doing really well, they usually wait until the child has finished the number of weeks they want before moving them up.nnAfter you remind them to do the assessment, the assessment trainer often gives feedback recommending not to move the child to the next level. However, I’ve noticed that this feedback is never actually shared with the child. The classes just continue as usual, and the child remains unaware of what they’re doing wrong or what they need to improve. This results in them repeating the same type of classes for many weeks, until you start pushing the instructor to move them up and the average week count according to them has been completed.nnQuite expensive too.

Very disappointed with Hilton Brown Chartwell.nMy 5-year-old son has been attending swimming lessons here for nearly 6 months, but the experience has been frustrating and underwhelming.nnThe swim lanes are extremely overcrowded—often with 4 to 5 kids packed into a lane that's barely 1 to 1.5 meters wide and 2 to 2.5 meters long. Despite changing days to try and improve the situation, it’s always the same. The environment feels more like a chaotic highway than a structured learning space.nnThere has been little to no progress in my child’s swimming skills, and it’s clear the focus is on packing in as many students as possible, rather than delivering quality instruction. It’s a complete lack of consumer ethics, and frankly, it feels driven by greed rather than genuine care for the children or their learning.nnWe’ve now decided to move to Waterworld in Te Rapa, where the ratio is much better—never more than 3 kids at a time, and the difference in quality is already noticeable.nnVery disappointed and would not recommend Hilton Brown Chartwell to other parents who expect value and progress from swimming lessons.

It’s becoming increasingly impersonal. When a child is sick for two weeks, the swim school only provides one replacement voucher for a missed class. For the second missed class, it is considered automatically forfeited, because it's their policy, and they can't make exceptions.nnI agree with your point that if everyone were to change their class times, it would indeed disrupt the normal teaching schedule. But you can check our family's history records. Since we started attending your swimming classes four years ago, how many times have we requested to change the time? My child still had a fever the day before yesterday. If we weren't genuinely concerned about him getting too tired and causing a relapse, we wouldn't have asked if we could change the time. Policies are written by people and are enforced by people. Being appropriately flexible can enhance your business's reputation.nnMoreover, with my child now attending class, aren't you worried he might infect other students and teachers? You could ask other parents if they have this concern. Or maybe it doesn't matter to you, since the money has already been collected.
