We stopped in on our road trip and had the battered Blue Cod. The food was perfect and the staff all very friendly. The building looks a bit dated but don’t be fooled by this, as the food is amazing! Highly recommend for some fresh fish n chips
nHad such a great experience dining here! We ordered a customized shared platter and every single item on it was amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I also tried pāua for the first time, and now I totally understand why it’s considered so special — the taste was incredibly rich and delicious.nnThe staff were absolutely lovely and really looked after us throughout the meal, which made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be coming back — highly recommend this place for both the food and the service!
We decided to bring our Auckland based Whanau here for lunch, not realising they had read about Hayz in the Air NZ magazine on the way down.nThe food exceeded our expectations, I couldn’t pick a favourite, and each family member chose something different as theirs.nIf you love seafood get one of the platters, that way you don’t have to choose and can try so many wonderful offerings.nThe passion Hayz shows in her food comes through in the taste and presentation, seeing how sustainably it’s sourced with little wastage shows the Aroha involved.nThere was also two stunning ladies front of house who radiated sunshine on the cold, wet day we went.nThis is a destination restaurant worth a roadie regardless of the weather, and if you’re lucky enough to have Hayz come out and explain each masterpiece then you are truly honoured.nAll seafood connoisseurs must go to this pearl in Bluff. There are other meat and vegetarian delicacies available for those who aren’t fans of seafood, and they looked yummy too.
Absolutely loved this place! The presentation of the food is super cute, and the portions are really generous. Not only does everything look amazing, but it also tastes delicious! The music playing in the background is old school and cute. Plus, the lady boss is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
