On Good Friday, seems they were not enough staff to work, we waited for more than 1.5 hrs but it’s worth to wait. It’s delicious and the lady was very nice. p.s. no surcharge for Good Friday.
We had a great time at Hayz place, huge meals, incredibly delicious and a fantastic atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back down to Bluff to see everyone at Hayz at the anchorage again. Thanks so much guys!
We had a beautiful meal when we visited on New Years Eve. The size was perfect for lunch, and a full glass of wine The staff and the locals were very friendly.
Superbly fresh, succulent kai moana. We struck the motherload of delicious seafood when we dined at Hayz. The menu also caters for people who prefer not to eat seafood as well. For us we couldn't get past the seafood platters which we could customise to our favourites. We were greedy & shared the fresh muttonbird and a paua burger which did not disappoint. There was a family atmosphere and we were honoured that Hayz, herself came to our table to chat. We got to meet other members of her whanau too. The food is prepared from the heart and the servings are indeed generous. Our friends from Auckland were so impressed with their dining experience that they are coming back to dine again in the near future. I highly recommend you try this restaurant.
We dined in last night and I would recommend 100000% . The food was absolutely amazing, the best food I’ve ever had in a restaurant before and the way it was plated up was award winning , i definitely know where I’m going to be dining out in future. The atmosphere was amazing as well.
Had lunch and then dinner here during an overnight stay in Bluff. The Salmon and Blue Cod were fresh and cooked perfectly, the soup of the day was also very nice. Staff are very friendly and the portion sizes generous. Would definitely recommend
The wait for the cod and seafood chowder Ahhh totally worth it and OMG amazing!! The service not just professional but next level of care and love for all. Taste wise no added seasoning required. Portions are lovingly generous as are the owners. When in Bluff, totally the place to be. ENJOYED THE SEAFOOD CHOWDER & I ALSO RECOMMEND THE BEEF BURGER .... THE WIFE & WORK COLLEAGUE AUNT T BOTH HAD STEAK & CHIPS ..... BIG UPS TO THE OWNER FOR THE BATTERED OYSTERS AS A BONUS TREAT .... LOVELY TOUCH
