The fish tasted good, nicely cooked, not over or under-done. However, it was a bit pricey for the size of each piece. We didn't try the chips.
Very disappointing, ordered a piece of Elephant fish and a scoop of chips. Very expensive for the small serving I received, the batter was soaked in oil that ran all over the chips making them oily and soggy, the fish was dry and overcooked. Wouldn’t go back.
Incredible experience - lovely lovely owner, chatted to me and I felt really looked after. THE BEST battered BUTTER FISH I’ve had in my entire life, best fries, INCREDIBLE cheese roll best in South Island for sure!!, amazing potato fritters and we also had delicious salted caramel muffins and fudge slices! I will be driving all the way back to bluff purely for that fish again! 10/10 experience and I would recommended this place to anyone!
Best fush n chup shop I've been to in Southland. Also, the world's SOUTHERNMOST takeaway shop!!nFood is always fresh and clean and doesn't taste stale like some takeaway shops. Staff are friendly and really nice people.nThe blue cod here is glorious!!! And the squid is delicious!!nAnd they're now doing sustainably-sourced whitebait too!
Really good fish and chips and the batter was so crispy and delicious. The only downside was a bit pricey and small portions. Chips didn’t have salt so tasted a bit bland.
