My wife and I had birthdays and wanted a special night out. We weren't disappointed. A lovely meal, great ambience and special service from VJ. Thanks VJ! We enjoyed it so much we went back two days later with friends and had another very enjoyable evening. This time we had Emma waiting on our table and she also had a lovely personality. Congrats to the management for attracting such great staff.
Every time we are in Tauranga, we have to have a meal at our favourite Restaurant.nGreat atmosphere, fantastic food.nWe have never had a bad experience.nnThe notes below is from another visit.nnWe were celebrating our wedding anniversary, so we decided to go to Harbourside for a meal.nThey had a special menunTHE CHEFS SELECTIONn5 COURSE DEGUSTATION MENUnWould have to give this 10 out of 10nThey have two options for each coursenSo we were able to sample everything.nAs we shared each other’s course.nBrilliant. The photos say it all.
The most amazing dinner we think we've ever had! Anniversary night out, so no kids with us. Great seat by the window onto the water. Lovely deck with outdoor seating on the water too. Waiter was so polite and helpful. Cocktails $20 each and very interesting combos. Loved the Fireball Old fashioned which tasted like Big Red gum for those who are fans! The squid entree was so tasty with the ginger, the octopus was one of the best combos of flavours I've ever had. Main of duck was perfectly cooked and the mussels, whilst small for NZ mussels, were super tasty with the leek and bacon. Even the side of chips was perfectly crispy! Couldn't fit much else, but managed the Tiramisu cheesecake and it was delightfully alcoholic. Total bill of $195, so a special night out type of cost, but so very worth it.
Had a pretty nice lunch here, my pork belly porchetta was good but could’ve used a bit more seasoning. Cocktails were absolutely divine! Special shout-out to VJ, whose service was next level. He is a real asset to your restaurant. The tranquil view added to the overall lovely experience.
Food was phenomenal, flavours were done extremely well. The only thing was the timing, we waited about an hour before we got our breads and the whole dining experience was 3hrs almost. In saying that the view and atmosphere was beautiful
