Nice little spot on the strand. I felt as if I did drive down the wrong street at first but have no fear, it's tucked away.nnThe wait staff was lovely, very helpful and the food came out in a timely manner. It's a beautiful little spot overlooking the harbor, not too noisy and the patio is shaded. You get that ocean breeze with a hint of salt water while enjoying your dinner and it's lovely.nnThe food is delicious and cooked to perfection. Probably the best flavours I've had in my entire time visiting New Zealand. We took half the chicken dish home and re-heated it 2 days later and it was still amazing to eat.nnCan't say much about the price as I'm unfamiliar with what the standard is locally however it's on Par with every other restaurant we've eaten at but the quality of the food is superior so in my opinion it's definitely worth the money.nnGood portion sizes as well. Excellent beverage list and Desert.
We visited Harbourside for a late night dinner. Needless to say, there wasn't much of a view but I can imagine that it would be gorgeous during the day. Most of the dishes were great, like the beef filet and laksa mussels. The oysters felt like they were a bit old or not the best, and the corn tasted good but felt overpriced. Everything took super long to come out of the kitchen and they weren't that busy either. Our entire meal took us two hours, which is not normal. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and wouldn't mind coming back.
Another EXCEPTIONAL meal at Harbourside Tauranga last night 1/1/2024. What a great way to kick off the new year. The delicious food is matched by a great wine list, spectacular inner harbour views and, of course, the first class service. Thank you VJ, and the kitchen for a wonderful night.
We had our first dining experience at Harbourside last night. Wow!!nWe were lucky enough to get a corner table right at the end of the outside deck. What a magic spot!!nThe food was absolutely delicious, the best we have had in Tauranga. The service was perfect. He was there at all the right times.nPrices were very reasonable, considering the quality of the food and service.nThank you Harbourside, we will definitely be back many times again.
What an excellent place to dine and take in the scenery. I could have sat and relaxed here all day with that view.
