Excellent customer service. I love the customer-focused mindset of the staff yesterday. The foods are very good; value for money too. We will definitely come back.
Lovely atmosphere and team. I sometimes work here on Fridays to break up working from home. Staff happily let me work away. Coffee is great, food is delicious. Overall a great cafe with great staff.
Great place to hang out and have brunch. Food is tasty and the price depend on what you order some for me is quite pricey, like i ordered egg benedict with pull brisket which the portion is slightly smaller than the big breakfast set but same price. Despite that the meat is really tender.
A bit disappointed with my experience here. My partner was the only one up at the counter and it took quite a few minutes for someone to acknowledge him & take our order it wasn't super busy. Coffee was good but the scones we had a cheese scone and a date scone were like rocks and super heavy. We took them back the waitress seemed peeved and she said that that's how they were supposed to be a very dense & heavy dough gave us new ones but they were still rock hard so took them home for the dog. Other food looked quite good so might have just struck a bad batch of scones.
It was a nice cafe with nice food and brilliant coffee staffs were nice! But on the menu it had a few N/As... which made the interior little ugly... But the foods and people were so nice! Recommend this cafeFood: 5/5
I prefer not to give negative reviews however, I am doing so in the hope it may help drive a positive change. We normally enjoy great service from Alimento so we were quite surprised today to receive absolutely, unbelievably poor almost laughable service. The young lady, approx. 5" 4", blond, blue eyes wearing a green jumper, was moody, not one word, no smile, treating us as if we bothered her. I have fairly thick skin, she was simply rude. I asked her if she was ok? she shrugged her shoulders and replied "yeah?", I said, "Okay then...." looked at my partner who was also in disbelief. We decided to eat at MacDonald's at least the staff there appeared a little more friendly. If left unchecked, in my opinion this young lady's attitude and behavior may harm the reputation of what was a great café. I hope the owners will be able to sort her out or possibly let her go to find a job that suits her better. Thanks
If I could give a zero for today I would. Normally friendly staff and good food - today quite the opposite- girl sidled up to the counter with hands it pockets, didn't say hello or any acknowledgement - just looked at us pan faced. Ending up walking out.
Great coffee and meeting house. Always a table free and with great, friendly service, when I'm in the CBD, it's always Alimento for my coffee stops. Thoroughly recommended.Food: 5/5
Had a nice brunch at Alimento. The waffle stack had a nice balance of flavors and the slight crispness of the waffles was a nice touch. The beef and bacon pie had a very good light pastry, but unfortunately there was no noticeable bacon flavor. The one thing that let down our meal experience was the butterscotch donut. I had an expectation of a light dough with a even flavor accented by the butterscotch, but unfortunately it consisted of a stodgy dough like a scone. Took one bite and left it. Overall, the staff were friendly and the venue was nicely presented.
Amazing service and food! I’m gluten intolerant and was looking for gf cabinet food, the labels didn’t say gf so I asked at the counter. The front of house staff got the baker/chef out and she explained what was gf and she apologised for a small selection. She recommended the white choc and berry muffin, as she herself is coeliac, and my god she’s nailed it, so good! I ordered the breakfast stack, removed a couple of items, and they offered for me to be compensated with an additional side instead. My sister and mum loved their meals, poached eggs done to perfection. Alternative milk coffees not a problem. Food came out quickly. Great portions, delicious food, service with a smile. Great service for a busy Saturday morning! Nothing was an issue, and I’ll be recommending to anyone heading to Tauranga. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and dairy free options available and delicious
