Unfortunately quiet hours of 10pm to 7am were not well enforced and people were loud until late, and returning nights out. The walls are super thin too so can hear everything from adjacent rooms and shared areas. Would not recommend staying here if you're looking for peace and quiet...nnRoom was basic but comfortable enough, really think there should be fans provided - it was very hot and the windows were large so didn't feel particularly comfortable leaving them open all night.nnHowever a super good location, walkable distance to the town centre and lake, seemed like a lot of activities run e.g. Tongariro crossing run from the hostel.
Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, each with its individual light and power outlet, kitchen is spacious and the deck has a nice like view
Reception smells like smoke. Place looks like it hasn't had a decent clean in forever. Bathrooms filthy, damp smelling, blocked drains, disgusting. Furniture reeks of foul odors. Broken fences, questionable decking.nnStaff polite and helpful, handy location.
Absolute value for money right here. If you need cheap accommodation in a prime location, this is 100% the spot to be. Cute little set up, amazing spot when you have great weather which we did. Location is within 5 minutes of everything you want.nnJoe the Receptionist is amazing, his service was unbeatable and a huge reason why I give them 5 stars. Thank you for your hospitality!
Didn't pick the best night to stay as there where a heap of young ones getting ready for town but I felt comfortable and safe. Walls a bit thin for my liking, so the sleep wasn't the best.
