Perfect walking distance to the beach. There's a lovely outdoor Cafe, serving delicious freshly made to order wood fired pizzas, a bar, and burgers. 1 draw back, our 3 bedroom cabins has only 1 bathroom. Could be an inconvenience for 7 of us at times. I wish there was 1 more bathroom, it would have been perfect.Rooms: 4/5

We stayed overnight at the powered campervan beachfront spot #16. Perfect spot to watch the sunrise! We walked to Cathedral Cove and it took about 55 minutes. Easy drive to Hot Water Beach. Amenities are clean and staff are friendly! Their flat white coffee was superb!Hotel highlightsGreat view

I do not normally like to stay at motor camps and enjoy camping away from others. However this camp was nothing short of amazing. Great staff, great facilities,  clean, large  camp sites and a stunning location. I can't say enough. The burgers and pizzas were amazing. We had a great time, best Motor Camp in NZ by a long shot. We will diffinatly be coming back soon. Thanks so much Team.

Consider bringing noise cancelling headphones with you if you decide to camp here. During my stay there was a loud party until at least 1:30 am complete with drunk singing to rocket man, and obnoxiously loud pulsating music.  Beautiful campground, stunning beach,  great nearby hikes, lovely staff. My only complaint is that it’s hard to sleep in a tent with a party going on in the campground!

Sad that a "resort" only has 1 hot tub and if was booked up the whole time. Kitchen was nice and the private cabins were a cool touch. Wifi was not good though, if you're needing it to be reliable for work like me this probably isn't the place. Outside of that, good experience though expensive for what's included.Rooms: 3/5

Beds weren’t made, we didn’t get a towel. However, facilities were nice. Vegan food was available. Burger and pizza options. We had the burgers but we had to pay an extra $3 each for vegan buns as the regular buns were brioche. The burgers didn’t taste great either.

Not much for children to do. Bar facilities for adults is a great idea for a camping spot. Awesome beach access. 'Resort' is all in walking proximity to village and a bus ride away from  Cathedral Cove walking track.Rooms: 3/5

Top notch location and views. Staff are excellent, professional and friendly. Campground amenities, restaurant and bar all awesome. The Seaview villas have a great view. We will be back!  Nearby activities: Kayak to Cathedral Cove. Spades available for digging holes at Hot Water Beach. Head to the point to watch the sun rise.  Safety: At the end of a quiet culdesac, the whole campground has always felt safe. Lots of signage about slow speeds. Beach is good for families, water gets deep fairly quickly but close islands provide protection from swells.  Walkability: Beach is down a short sandy track, or wooden stairs available at northern end of beach. No wheelchair access. Good walk to Cathedral Cove. Campground easy to get around. Short easy walk to local store / coffee / pizza / gift shop.

Great location to stay at. You would be at the heart of Hahei at the start of cathedral cove track, right on the beach, and very close to everything in town.  We looked having George's brewery in the campsite with a pizza and burger options.  The site doesn't operate the hot tub in summer because of the water restrictions.  The resort is massive and have many long term tenants.  The power sites require camping lead that is not useful if you don't have them.  The kitchen and showers are redundant and great to have an assigned site i.e. powered, even though we couldn't use the power.

Hahei Beach Resort is fantastic. The team there go over and beyond to help everyone have a wonderful experience. We were especially cared for during the stormy Summer holidays.
