We have lived and worked in the area for a long time so are locally focused and know the local residents well. We are a tyre repair, fitting and servicing business and our friendly staff can carry out the work while you wait. You can drive in and drive out or use one of our courtesy cars. Best tyre shop in the city. Eric and his team go out of their way to squeeze in your repairs or replacements no matter how busy they are. They even replaced my antiquated 8-inch mini boat tyres despite the fact that no machine is small enough to remove the rubber, the interiors made no sense from an engineering perspective, and the old tubes had literally glued themselves to the rusted rim interior. But after their repair, the old boat trailer is happily humming along the motorway! AAA+++
Quick and well communicated advice over the phone. Tyres changed within 7 hours after speaking to them over the phone and for much cheaper then other competitors. Friendly staff. 6/5 stars
I highly recommend Grey Lynn Tyreworx. They have saved me a lot of money as I’ve been told on two occasions that a tyre needs replacing and can’t be fixed and Tyreworx have saved the day and fixed it for me. Extremely trustworthy, great service and very reasonable pricing.
Very helpful with my partners car first visit. Loaned us a tyre for a day until a new one arrived to be fitted. Next visit I just wanted a puncture repair. The young guy put the jack in the wrong place and put a hole in the plastic sump protector under my car. I heard the crunch and saw him struggle to get the jack free. He said nothing so i actually thought nothing was wrong in that moment. I assumed maybe the trim had just been caught. At home later on I looked and there was a big hole in the plastic. I came in the next day and hit the owner up, he looked at it and told me are you sure it wasn’t there already, again I said I saw his guy do it, then he proceeded to tell me how it was just a piece of plastic and didn’t mean anything, so I told him that Holden said it is there for a reason. It is a $130 part. He then agreed to put some glue on it to make it look like it was still in one piece. I agreed thinking it wasn’t worth the hassle of pressing for a new part as it was an argument to get to this point. I haven’t gone back since as I don’t trust someone who’s only interested in a quick cover up job. These guys are very busy so they must do good work but my experience was horrible. Lesson learned, record everything if it looks dodgy.
I shopped around...Grey Lynn Tyreworx was the cheapest, its not a big shop, it's not the flashest, but they are way better than some big flash tyre shop i been to. The owner and staff treat you like family, they are not out to rip you off, I been using them for over 20 years..that says something. I strongly recommend them if you're looking for a tyre shop. These guys are just the best! I rang at about 3pm after failing a warrant of fitness to see if they could help with a nail in my tyre/puncture repair and they told me to bring it straight in. While there, I asked for a quote for 2 new rear performance tyres, which they gave me and I agreed to get them ordered in. Then when they realised they miraculously had 2 of these tyres in stock, they sold them to me for less than the price they had just quoted me. The tyres they had were the the pre-exchange-rate inflation price. They could easily have charged me the greater amount and I would've been none the wiser. AND, they took care of my new tyres and the puncture repair so quickly, I was back to VTNZ get my WOF approved that same afternoon. Super impressed by the friendly, honest, fast service - thanks Tyreworx!

I just bought 4 tyres. I emailed first and got a great quote. Was able to book a time that suited.. they had parking and it was all done in 40 min while i had breakfast round the corner. Car feels much better : everything you would want out of a tyre purchasing expedition.
