Story

Grant Hood Contracting Limited is an Earthmoving and Civil Engineering Contractor providing a ‘one stop’ package, taking your concept through to completion. Based in Ashburton, we service a broad range of clients throughout Mid Canterbury and the greater Canterbury region. We are an approved contractor for the Timaru District Council with numerous clients in the South Canterbury area.

Grant and Carolyn formed the company in 2002, building on the experience and expertise Grant had gained since entering the industry in 1982. They work closely together as a team to ensure the company not only delivers on their client’s expectations but exceeds them. They are extremely proud of the company they have created.

We can construct works to your design or alternatively provide the complete service from survey and design, through consenting, to construction and commissioning.

We retain the services of a Chartered Professional Engineer to assist us where a project requires qualified engineering input. Grant Hood Contracting Limited recognises their clients want quality and that the work will impact on the environment. It has procedures in place and is working towards gaining accreditation to a recognised standard to address:

For the larger projects we prepare a Contract Management Plan that addresses Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental Aspects and Impacts.
