Had an issue with malfunctioning equipment and the experience which can happen anytime. This situation was managed poorly by one of the staff on duty. However the manager resolved this in a very professional manner. Happy to go back to use the range and book in for some lessons.
Newly built driving range and its prob one of the best in Auckland if not in NZ. Ball tracer system is abit complicated for beginners to use. Might require some sort of instructions or sign boards for full enjoyment.
I took the Grandchildren out to the pitch in putt for the school holidays. My Wife Barbara had an appointment at Ascot across the way and their mother was at work. Please don’t ask about their father I knew he was going to be bad news from the start.. anyway it was my job to look after them. It was a good way to pass some time. One request though is PLEASE irrigate your Tee Boxes, I lost a lot of my martini tees that day !
In order to become comfortable with my clubs and be able to play my first game of golf with confidence, I decided to go to a driving range. A friend of mine recommended the Ellerslie Driving Range, though it was a considerable drive of 16 minutes, I decided to check it out. After coming in wearing jeans, I was sent back to change them because, for whatever reason, it was against their policy. Since the machines didn't work by checkout, I decided to take some cash out after I wasted roughly 50 minutes going back home, changing, and driving back. As I had devoted so much time to it, it might as well stay. Despite all that was going on at checkout, machines not working, etc, I didn't blame the person at checkout for being extremely rude to me. Having waited 30 minutes in the queue, I went off to the range using my dad's RBZ Stage 2 Driver. I had to walk back multiple times because the 50 balls I had bought weren't moving, but when they did, I only had 40. For only hitting 40 balls and wasting a little over 2 hours, I wasted so much time and money. 2/10, I’ll be going to Takapuna's driving range next time!
This is a great small golf course. It has a golf range with everything you'd expect- balls and somewhere to tee off from. It has a club house with equipment. It has a small 9 hole course. If you go in expecting only this, then it delivers. A great place to go for a quick 9 rounds

Small course but really fun. What brings it to 4 stars is having to wait behind slooow people that take their time trying to figure out what iron to use....its a small course with the longest hole being like 40 meters!!!!!!!! Get on with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn't going to write about this as it happened many months ago, but it's been bothering me since then. I thought this would be a good heads up for groups wanting to come to the driving range. My group of friends and I came here in January around noon to use the driving range. For some of us, it was our first time even golfing so they were very excited. While we were taking turns to use our bay in the driving range, we were all talking, chatting, and supporting each other at a moderate noise level. As we neared the end of our session, an older European lady I'm assuming she regularly comes to the driving range approached us as she was leaving and firmly said to me "Hey. Do you see anyone else here talking? proceeds to point to the all the other driving bays Exactly." She then walks off and leaves. I could've said something, but honestly I just stood there in shock because I've never had anyone say that to me at any driving range before. It was our first time here so we did not realize there was a rule that we had to keep our noise level down to the bare minimum. For such an amazing experience, it brought down the mood a bit. If you're planning on coming as a group to the driving range to cheer your mates, laugh or chat a lot, this may not be the best place to come. But regardless, the facilities are amazing, parking is great and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful!
Great location and always enjoyable. Friendly helpful staff. Top tracer screens add a whole new dimension. A goto place for many - not surprisingly.
