Story

Glenorchy Journeys specialises in providing personalized scenic tours and guided half day and full day walks in the World Heritage area of Mt Aspiring National Park. Enjoy a guided walk on the magnificent Routeburn Track or take a back country scenic 4WD tour, where the views are endless and unforgettable.

Our tours are personalized and kept small to provide optimum experiences for varying fitness and different interests. Experience the beautiful scenery that inspired Peter Jackson and visit some of the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film sites.

Join our local knowledgeable guide and experience the wonders of Mt Aspiring National Park - a wonderful mix of remote wilderness, majestic mountains and beautiful river valleys clothed in beech forest.

Glenorchy Journeys also provides transport for trampers, mountain bikers and skiers, with a range of services, with arrival and departure times arranged to suit you.

Great pies. Loved the mince and cheese. Very friendly and polite staff. Views and decor are vintage and just lovely.
It was hard to hold back with all of the amazing products they offer! We probably spend over and hour in there. There is a outside area, food trucks that offer coffee and as a fellow booklover i wish i would have brought a book with me to contribute to the book exchange!
Nice pies! Needed an extra shot in my second coffee but I like it strong.
Lovely vibe and would love to mingle here for a bit. They have a decent vegetarian lentil pie, with a lunch time pie+drink deal you can’t miss. They have books, ceramics, honey, chocolate, souvenirs etc, all sourced locally. I especially love that they had peanut butter cups made with Pics I’m a huge fan.

Beautiful shop. The cheese scones were fresh and delicious.
Friendly staff, cabinet food was ALL amazing - fresh, great assortment and good prices for homemade baking....toilets were clean too.
