One of the best and freshest fish and chips I have had, I ordered fish of the day, prawn kebab and chips, the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful in helping me choose how to have it cooked. Ordered to takeaway but ended up eating there on an outside table. Highly recommend, looking forward to going back to Whakatane to eat here again.
Gibbo’s Fresh Fish is a great place. The fish is fresh and really tasty. I tried some kinas and they were delicious. The servings are big, and the staff are friendly. A good spot for a fish and chips meal.
Just purchased two Gurnard and a scoop of chips - I’ll let you be the judge! Phone charger added to show size of fish.
Service is fantastic. It was a very busy day, and I got my order within 20 minutes. Portion sizes is so generous, and prices are so affordable. I ordered the $10 mussel pack, and a snapper fillet. There was so much food, I couldn't eat it all. All up I paid $17.50. I will definitely come back, if I am in Whakatane again.
