Finding a cafe that cares about the food they bring to the plate and has friendly and welcoming staff and an awesome spot close enough to take a walk on the beach. Gather checks all the boxes, they were quick to answer questions about allergies. Have been many times and the food is consistently good!
First time coming here and it was a lovely experience, we went in to grab a takeaway coffee while walking the dog. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. My husky also got to enjoy a free dog treat while we waited. The wait wasn’t long at all and the drinks were nice.nIced vanilla latte w/almond milk: 7.5/10nDragon smoothie: 8/10nIt was also nice to have dairy free option as I struggle with menus in most cafes trying to guess which items are dairy free. Would definitely come back.
I can’t recommend Gather Café enough! The coffee here is hands down the creamiest I’ve ever tasted—pure perfection every single time. The barista is absolutely amazing; their skill and attention to detail are unmatched. I’m totally hooked and can’t go anywhere else!nnThey use Alpro coconut milk, which takes the coffee to another level—it’s the best I’ve tried. As a regular customer, I feel so valued here. This morning, they had even saved the last of the chai for me because they know my order so well. They often start making my coffee as soon as I walk in, and it’s ready in a flash.nnGather Café truly goes above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for their incredible service and delicious coffee!
Good location along Papamoa beach. Varied cabinet options made it hard to choose but ended up going with a classic scone. It went down a treat. Off the menu I ordered the breakfast burger which was filling but nothing crazy in terms of flavour, particularly for the price. Iced drinks were decent too. Staff were very friendly, however the other customers made us uncomfortable by staring, although that’s not the cafes fault. I’m keen to return for take away to try the sweet cabinet options.
