Delightful atmosphere & food. The menu is really unique, we enjoyed the lamb shank with Southeast Asian flavors. The Jules Taylor Savingnon Blanc had delicate fragrant notes.
If you are looking for nice food and great service, this is definitely the best choice. The waitress was so kind and passionate, and the lamb steak was also perfect! Also, this isn't a big restaurant so you can enjoy quiet dinner here with a cute bay view!
Awesome food. But they serve in a very big portion. So, it is not suitable for quick bites. For fish and chips they serve 3 big fishes wedges and salad.
Had this Hummus tortilla. It was nice and warm. The cafe itself was pretty and the staff I met was friendly.
Very impressed. We were the last people in and they were just ready to shut up for the evening but were still happy to serve us. We had meals off the light menu which were exactly the size portions we needed. Still pretty substantial. Gurnard in batter was cooked beautifully, lovely apple slaw to accompany. My partners chowder was delightfully creamy. Will definitely return again and try out some other dishes on the menu.
Delicious, beautifully presented food, plenty of it. 3 of my party had the fish and chips with crushed peas. The batter was crisp and the chips plentiful. I had the cedar salmon, which was perfectly cooked. Sides of polenta and brocollini went down well too. Our waitress Rachel was helpful, clued up and friendly. A great little discovery overlooking the bay.
Most delicious vegetarian platter I've ever had in my life. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. Atmosphere is pleasant and the location is excellent. One of the only night places in Timaru for excellent food. Caters to allergies and special dietary requirements well with much of the menu vegetarian or with gluten/dairy free options. Waitress was professional and lovely to talk to. 10/10
Initially felt unwelcome because one of us was a child, definitely not a child friendly vibe. I dislike being judged as my son is very accustomed to dining out and is always respectful and well behaved. Despite this, the salad and iced Choc were delicious and the service prompt.
We had the big breakfast and found it most disappointing. Very ordinary with home made chilli beans so hot we couldn't eat them or the toast they were on I can normally stomach reasonably hot food but foo.. .not these. Staff seemed disorganised and not use to a morning shift but it may have been a one off as we haven't been there before.
Enjoyed a great lunch at Fusion - staff actually know their menu items and ingredients - really enjoyed the pork taco, and the creme brulee was gorgeous. Our waitress had both efficiency and warmth/friendliness not all do!. Thanks team - we'll be back!
