The restaurant we went to yesterday was okay in terms of environment, and the service was decent too. The food looked fine, the pizza was alright, but the ribs were truly memorable—for all the wrong reasons. I’ve never had ribs this tough, like chewing on rubber. It felt like I was gnawing on my own belt. The flavor was mediocre, and after eating just half, my jaw was sore. Definitely not worth the $43.nnWhen I mentioned it to the server, they checked with the chef and said, “That’s just how it’s made.” No apology, no acknowledgment. Maybe these ribs were air-dried for a year and completely lost their moisture. That said, if you’re curious about what it feels like to chew on a belt, go ahead and give it a try. On the bright side, my dog thoroughly enjoyed this $43 “chewy” rib meat. LOL
It was just okay. Mum had steak and ale pie which she enjoyed. I had the lamb rump but it was quite a small serving. Not worth the $40 price tag; $30 max.nDesserts were underwhelming and incredibly expensive. $17.90 for a sticky date pudding?! I expected something great but left wanting more really.nLower your prices and we'll be back!nVery dim lighting and breezy. Very loud too.
Beautiful food, excellent service, great atmosphere. The staff and Chef made me feel heard and understood when I let them know about my food allergies and because they took such care to listen and in the preparation of my dinner I felt very safe and was able to enjoy my meal. Thank you! We will be back again and again.
Had a nice sit down meal at Franklins. Food and drinks were good. Loved the atmosphere. The service was fantastic.
Love love LOVE this place.nFirst time there tonight, and usually eating mostly vegetarian, the options were brilliant. We were so impressed with the creativity, and the flavors were bomb. Passion fruit Martini was awesome and a special shout out to the sticky date pudding. Cannot wait to go back.
