Claims to be an infomation centre but appears to just be a sales office for local attractions. Is attached to a tourist restaurant.
Phone number appears to be disconnected- very disappointing
We walked in twice on two separate days to ask a few questions. They really didn't seem bothered when asking about walking routes.
Were there didn't want to talk
Not a visitors center
Very small, nothing but a few pamphlets and two people absolutely not interested in anyone who walks in. A great disappointment, especially for such a busy destination. Nothing to do with any proper i-site in NZ.
